Though I did not meet her, Rochelle was accessible over airbnb messaging and text. The neighborhood was cute and quaint, just a stone's throw away from good food and good coffee. All of Portland was very accessible by car and we had no trouble finding parking for the night nearby. The room was clean and towels were provided.
Rochelle was not around but she gave us everything we needed and it all went great! Everything was as described - the house is nice, neighborhood is great. No complaints, I would stay here again.
Rochelle was super nice and recommended some art shops for us to visit during our stay. Her place is artsy, clean, and comfortable. There is a lot to do in the neighborhood such as visiting art stores, dinning, and ice cream :) Her place is also very close to public transportation that will take you anywhere in Portland. It was very easy to get around. I recommend staying there.
Everything was great, as it was a last minute check in. We just needed the place for the night so we didn't get a chance to enjoy the neighborhood but it looked very trendy and fun. Loved the whimsical owl sheets!
Rochelle was very accommodating for my partner and I when we arrived early. We were welcomed immediately and were able to stow our stuff away and enjoy walking around the Alberta Arts district until check-in. We loved the neighbourhood as well as our stay in the house.
Great place to stay if you are travelling and willing to meet others. The house is older but is clean and well maintained. So much character to it!
Staying at rochelles was nice and clean. The beds were okay and the neighborhood was lovely, there are allot of beds set up which gives it a nice hostel feeling

I've lived all over Portland, but after planting roots in the Alberta Arts district a nearly a decade ago, I can't imagine living anywhere else. Even in a city known for 'different', Alberta pushes the free- and forward-thinking envelope just a little bit further.
Our house is in a great spot--so close to fab food, art, yoga, and shopping for all budgets. (Don't forget to stop off for a slice of Random Order pie!) We've got our own local bike rental and public transportation options within 1 to 2 blocks.
Portland is rich in beautiful natural spots and diverse cultural offerings.Must visits on my list include the Gorge waterfalls and Powells books - the ultimate planetary bookstore (at least in this galaxy).
I think one of the best parts of traveling is feeling comfortable wherever you land. When I'm on the road, I steer toward cheerful, friendly spots with just the right mix of privacy and community. Living in England cemented my fondness for guest houses. Those happy stays in cozy homes primed me to seek out similar lodgings when I travel.
I love being able to open our house to the fabulous folk who find their way to us. I look forward to meeting you and hearing some of your stories. Welcome!
