This charming South Austin house is right off of South First street, just 2.5 miles from Downtown and close to two major bus lines (the 1L/1M and the 10), walking distance from local favorites Amy's Ice Creams and Torchy's Tacos.
Best recommended for 4 people comfortably (with two full-sized beds, one with luxury Tempurpedic mattress, one not shown), this house *can* accommodate 6 people if you include one person on the full-length sectional sofa and one person on our Urban Outfitters bed roll. But really, there is lots of floor space if more is needed (we know how SXSW gets). The listing says "max 6" but if you want to have people sleep on the floor or bring your own bed rolls or air mattresses, you can fit as many as you like with no additional fee.
We have plenty of free parking in our driveway and at our curb, free fast wifi internet, a microwave, fridge, oven, stove, kettle, sink, dishwasher, toaster, and a fully stocked kitchen with all the plates, cups, and wine glasses you could need.
Also included is a flat screen TV, DVD player, and iPhone stereo/radio sound system.

This is seriously one of the best locations in town and we are happy to share it with you. We look forward to making sure you have all the info you need to navigate Austin and SXSW!
I've been employed by Roy (Kaci's husband) for a bit over a year now, and have come to know each of them personally. They are really wonderful - both are extremely creative and artistic, and Roy owns one of the most successful improvisational theaters here in town. He was actually my teacher when I first started improv. Roy was kind, compassionate, patient and inspiring. He's extraordinarily delightful to be around, and his wife, Kaci, is equally as inspiring and has a great heart. She is a wonderful artist who takes great care with her craft. I currently have a piece of her artwork hanging in my house - she was kind enough to give it to me for free. She said it was from her college days, but the kindness of the gesture cannot be downplayed. Simply said, they are great.
Kaci and Roy's place will be a lovely and charming home base for you to explore the wonderful city of Austin and eat of its many fruits. It's nestled in the lovely community of South Austin and will give you a straight shot to downtown or anywhere else you want to go. Kaci and Roy are super cool and can personally recommend a dozen things for you to do.
I've known Kaci since she was too young to vote (I think) but they should have let her vote anyway, because I've never met anyone as mature at such a young age. She's awesome. You want to stay in her house? It'll be flawless when you get there, with lots of thoughtful touches for the guests all prepared. Thinking about having Kaci in your place? She'll be the perfect guest. She's aces. Accept no substitutes!
Roy and Kaci are longtime friends of mine and I have enjoyed many a soiree at their adorable home in South Austin. Roy and Kaci are good people, leaders in the local improv/theater scene, and their home is clean, cheerful, and is in a great location for SXSW-going or just enjoying Austin. You will be comfortable and well cared for if you choose to rent the Moonbase (as it is affectionately called). Kaci and Roy are Austin arts insiders and can probably get you tickets to something. They are also warm and funny! And their house is a short walk or bus ride to the S. 1st St. shopping district and downtown Austin, so no need to rent a car.
They are lovely people with a lovely house. One hundred thumbs up.
