Welcome to Margaret River!
We are a creative household and live in a beautiful house on the edge of Margaret River. On an acre of bush, it is peaceful, and private. Possums, kangaroos and native birdlife like to share the garden with us! We love to to share with good people.
From our home it is an easy walk to the main street, art galleries, cafes, swimming pool, gymnasium, yoga school, cultural centre, forest and riverside walks, local markets and live music.
Our attic bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed, writing table and a private balcony. Whilst fresh cotton linen and towel are supplied, toiletries are not. Please note the bathroom is separate to the attic and not an ensuite. If you'd like to book a room with an ensuite bathroom please click on this link www.airbnb.com/rooms/1571888
For groups of 3 or 4, you can book an additional bedroom in the house.Just choose “Forest View at River's Edge” by clicking www.airbnb.com/rooms/801829 and book as per usual.
Margaret River is recipient of 2012 Top Tourist Town award and a "must see" destination for beach and wine lovers! The beaches of Margaret River are world famous for their clean surf breaks and spectacular scenery. For families with young children there are several calm safe swimming beaches to suit little ones.
There are over 100 vineyards in the area offering award winning, gold medallist wines and many are featured in James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion 2013.
We would love to direct you to the wineries that will suit your palate, and if you're a beer connoisseur we can direct you to half a dozen great local breweries
I work from home as a sustainable building/landscape designer and writer and love to hear about what's happening in your part of the world over a glass of wine. Whilst I am usually working and here to let you in on arrival. its always helpful if you let me know what time to expect you, as I use the afternoon hours to do site visits, meet clients etc and am not always in
I recommend you call or text me in the morning of your arrival date so we can organise access if I am not able to be at home when you arrive.
Looking forward to hosting you in 2013, and wishing you a brilliant year ahead!

Pamela made us very comfortable and our accommodation was excellent. Her home is delightful, beautifully designed and spacious. She was a gracious and thoughtful host and we enjoyed exploring the Margaret River region. So much of interest to do and experience. I would highly recommend Pamela. As our first Airb&b, it could not have been better. Kathy and Jon Goff
The attic with a forest view was a sanctuary from the respite of the city. It was easy to find and Pamela was very welcoming. I would definitely go back again.
Paula and her companion Jan booked the attic boudoir and asked for another bed to go into the room, which I was happy to organise. Paula arrived unannounced, without letting me know her arrival time. When I showed her the room she complained...there were stairs (its an attic room), there was only a queens size bed and separate bed and not a separate room each (she only booked one room and I carried the extra bed upstairs for her) there was no ensuite (clearly stated on the airbnb page). By this stage I was feeling quite attacked and that it didn't matter what was on offer it would not satisfy her. She admitted she hadn't read the room description, when booking, and had booked on the basis of my reviews only. As it turned out I was able to accommodate Paula and Jan both in their own room for two nights. Paula was very tired on arrival and that may have explained her mood, but in my three years of hosting, I have never known this ill-will towards me as a host. Her travelling companion Jan was an absolute delight and her presence made their stay so much better. So, one of the morals to this tale is...read the room's airbnb page well, so your expectations are in line with what you've booked, try not to arrive exhausted and let your host know when you are arriving.
There is no better place to stay! We really enjoyed it and would absolutely stay there again. Pam was very helpful and has been a fantastic host.
Pamela was a friendly and welcoming host and the Attic Boudoir was a comfortable room in a pleasant setting. We believed at the time of booking that we would have a bathroom/toilet attached to the room but this was not so and negotiating stairs in the night was a little hazardous for us.
Pamela was a lovely host who was very welcoming and had a property in a gorgeous and convenient location. Our attic room was large with its own little balcony overlooking the peaceful forest. We really enjoyed chatting with and getting to know Pamela, and she kindly allowed us to use her kitchen facilities. Would definitely recommend a stay here!
We had a wonderful stay with Pamela who was very warm & friendly. The accommodation was in a beautiful relaxing location & only a short walk through the bush to town. Our room was spacious & perfect for a drink at the end of the day with a balcony.

I live in Margaret River and I work from home as a Sustainable Building Designer. I look forward to sharing my lovely home with other good people. I enjoy lots of local activities -produce markets, festivals, galleries, wining and dining locally, gardening (currently doing a major revamp to grow more vegetables) yoga, walking through the forest, by the river and ocean, reading great books, watching great movies, supporting the local arts scene and learning.
