About this listing
This cozy California craftsman is located in the desirable Ocean Park neighborhood of Santa Monica. It is located on the private second story of a historic beach house. With a partial ocean view and just a few short blocks to the beach.
There are 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The master bedroom has a queen bed. The 2nd bedroom has a twin trundle bed that can either be 2 singles or pulled out to a king size bed. There is a twin bed in the sitting room and a comfy pull out full size bed in the living room.
The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need for cooking.
The neighborhood is my favorite in all of LA! It's centrally located walking distance to Venice beach, Main Street and Santa Monica pier. It is also conveniently located next to a bus stop if you don't want to walk or drive.
We don't provide designated parking but there is free parking on the street out front.
The house is fabulous - clean, light-filled and has great beds and shared spaces. There are ocean glimpses out the front windows. Having a washing machine and drier was a real bonus. We didn't get to meet Lauren, but all facilities were provided and a telephone conversation was really useful for advice about transport (Uber is a really cheap and efficient way to get everywhere - we used it to get to Disneyland, Hollywood, and even home from the Santa Monica retail centre). The house is in a fantastic location. Really interesting restaurants and shops, including a weekend produce market, just down the hill.
The apartment was perfect! Clean, bright, functional and the location was spot on. We could walk everywhere. The beach, the Pier, 3rd Street Promenade and Venice. Grocery stores, restaurants and shopping all within a few blocks.
Lauren has made the apartment very homey. Furnishing were comfortable, clean and cute. She even has real plants to make it a home. It was just what we needed.
Thanks for making it so enjoyable!
The location was perfect for our family get-together, just a few blocks to Main Street and a few more to the beach. The apartment is bright and pretty as pictured. There are lots of windows with nice views of the area. It was too cold for us to use the little patio. On a nice day, it would be perfect for morning coffee. The host was friendly while booking and upon arrival and offered suggestions of neighborhood restaurants and attractions.
The apartment is charming in style, though somewhat spare in décor, with few amenities (no soap and one roll of toilet paper) and no breakfast offered.
Great place, in a perfect location for Santa Monica, Venice and the rest of LA.
Plenty of space for me and a colleague.
Lauren was helpful when needed - immediately replaced an iron that was missing.
Would stay here again.
Terrific experience! Not only was Lauren always available and always helpful in responding to our inquiries, she made us feel immediately welcome upon checking in. The house was exactly as pictured - cozy, charming, clean and equipped with all the comforts of home (and even had a small balcony which was perfect for sunset/ocean views!). The location was close to all of the best spots in Santa Monica and walking distance to the beach. It was hard to check out! I would definitely recommend this apt to anyone looking to experience Santa Monica like a local. Thank you, Lauren for making our trip so memorable.
When Lauren says that this is her favorite neighborhood in the city, I can see why! The location and the apartment were absolutely perfect! Lauren was extremely accommodating. She was available if we had questions and the binder with local info and suggestions was spot on. I highly suggest the farmers market a few blocks away. Thank you for an incredible vacation! We will definitely be back soon!
This was a lovely find! Bright, spacious, homely and comfortable. It was a great place to both relax and work. The decor was lovely - felt like home from home. The only thing that is on the downside, if it bothers you ,was the fact that it was quite noisy with traffic. If that's not an issue for you then it's a perfect spot. Close to great shops and cafes on main street.
