Amazing Pied à Terre near Piazza Trilussa, the heart of the movida in Trastevere! It's an open space with the entrance by the street (it was an old local shop). There is an office area with some chairs, a dinner table, a kitchen corner with a fridge, microwave and electric burners, a tiny toilet with a wc, sink and a shower. At the end there is a loft area, that you can get to from wooden stairs, and you will find a double futon bed near a tiny window by the patio. There is a free Wifi internet connection and free local phone calls. Sheets and towels are included. Finally I installed Air Conditioning! My place is in the heart of Trastevere near the best restaurants and pizzeria (the famous "Il Poeta" is 20 metres away). You can have also wonderful walks by the river or crossing the bridge (Ponte Sisto) where you can find Piazza Campo dè Fiori and then Piazza Navona. The other side of the river is full of trendy bars, restaurants, a little market, antique shops and from there all the most important monuments are 5-10 minutes away. Near my place in Piazza Trilussa there is a taxi station.
We didn't get to meet Leonardo in person but he was most helpful by email and phone and his friend who met us at the apartment and showed us around was very friendly and helpful too.
The apartment is gorgeous and intimate and what a location! Could not recommend it more.
Thanks (website hidden) Leo's recommendation of Dar Poeta Pizzaria up the street is bang on! Do it!
Leonardo was a great host, he met us at the apartment when we arrived and gave us the goss. We got a bit lost looking for the place, maybe best to bring a clear map with you! He was great on communication, really helpful with tips for where to eat and how to get around - didn't feel bad texting him to ask him a question during our stay.
The location of the apartment is right in the centre of the action in Trastevere, you get a great away-from-the-tourists vibe. Yes it's noisy at night, but we used earplugs and it was totally fine. The shower is teeny, but surprisingly satisfying! (great water pressure, immediate hot water). The apartment was REALLY clean and the perfect stay for our weekend away. Highly recommend!
Thank you Leonardo.
Leonardo's place was such a cozy and homely place to stay. The design of the place makes it such a pleasure to stay at. Very well lit with multiple lamps (I absolutely loved that there were so man lamps) and even during the day, there is enough brightness coming in from the door and the upstairs window and washroom window. The kitchen was fully functional and everything I needed was there. Leonardo was kind enough to bring me a hair-dryer when he previously did not have the loft equipped with a hair-dryer (but now he does). Leonardo showed me all the nice places around the loft that I could eat at and all his recommendations were great. Like everyone else already said, it gets pretty loud at night due to the location of the loft being by the bars and Piazza Trilussa but this was something that did not bother me at all. The washroom was an inconvenience but as everyone else has said, it's not such a problem if you are willing to adjust and get used to it. All in all, I loved my stay at Leonardo's and I would definitely come back!
Leo was a fantastic host, giving us plenty of advice and letting us know of places to discover. The flat was ideal; safe, cosy and in the perfect location. A great place for a short get away to explore Rome!
It could not have been better! Leonardo is a wonderful person, very welcoming and always there for a great advice! We are very happy to have met him.
The apartment is lovely! Incredible location in the middle of Trastevere, sooo nicely arranged, very, very clean, with many little wonderful details. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bed is very comfortable, there were towels and even an electric iron, magazines to read in, maps and infos about the city. We were impressed, happy and we would always come back!
It is very close to the Vatinkan and to the jewish quarter over the bridge. Basically all important places are nearby.
Ask Leo for special insider tips, he is THE BEST :)!
Leonardo was a kind and very helpful host, with good information on local restaurants etc. Trastevere is a vibrant and lively district - recommend as a location to stay. The studio is charming and perfectly well equipped e.g. kitchen area. The only down side is the night time noise outside. We stayed Fri and Sat nights and the outside noise from nightlife was very loud. It may be quieter during week? If this kind of thing does not bother you, then no problem. Wish I had taken earplugs!
There are so many good things to say about this place!
Leonardo is an awesome host: super warm, communicative, accommodating, and full of great neighborhood recommendations.
The loft itself is fantastic as well: an old stable, converted to a storefront, then converted (by Leonardo) into a loft/architect's studio. The place is charming, has everything you need, and is in the center (email hidden)ly neighborhood, within walking distance to every tourist attraction but without all the tourists.
We were so sad to leave, and hope to return soon! Thanks again Leonardo!
Very cozy studio at the very heart of Trastevere, minutes away from every major attraction. On the up-side the studio is nicely designed and lit. It is clean and all the houseware is provided. On the down-side it gets noisy at night, and the bathroom is really tiny.
Leo himself is the best host I've had to date, responsive and flexible.
Do not miss Dar Poeta a few doors down the street, or the local Calisto bar for a real expresso.
The studio is perfect!!! I was alone, so i could stay many days, but in two I guess that the travel must be a little bit short. I really enjoyed the space and Trastevere is perfect!! Only 15-20 minutes by an enjoying walking to Vatican and near from everywhere in the center of Rome. Leonardo is a really nice and accessible guy, helping me with everything that I needed. Perfect!!
