1. Location is awful. Don't trust the desription, stating that is takes 15 minutes to Tratavere. Only by taxi - if you succseed to catch it soon after you started. If you use public transport to get to main sights you probably will get stuck in a traffic and waist time. Trying to get by feet to subway will take about 20 - 30 minutes, depending on the high of your heel and speed. We went from subway with bags, just from the airport - that's horrible, don't repaet our mistake - if you alredy booked this apartment take taxi.
2. Apartment is very dirty - aespecially the bathroom. And the dirt is old, so you won't proceed with efforts to clean it. So you will have to take shower in a disgusting dirty through. Also you will face some problems with hot water - it will take time for hot water to go, you will get cold in that shower, and after hot water goes - it will be enormously hot - you gonna feel like a boiled chiken.
3. Claudia didn't meet us personally - she send another girl. May be that's because Claudia speaks poor Englissh - we had several conversations and it was extremely difficult to understand what is she trying to say. As she didn't meet us personally - that shows her attitude to apartment rental. For her it's just an income source, not more. There is no soul in that. For tha reason it's better to take a hotel - at least hotel stuff will be friendly.
4. Only one normal bar near the apartment -called ReWine. That is the ONLY place where you can eat and have a drink. It looks safe and okay. Very good drinks and tapas.
My advice - if you do not want to get dissapointed with Rome and get an impression that there are no good shops to buy even easiest food, bars and restaurants, that there is awful traffic and unfriendly citizens, and if you don't want to get upset with your niggardly host because of attitude to you - don't book this apartment.
Thank you for reading
we've had a really nice and pacefull stay. flat is what you can read and see in the description and photos. owner basically absent. very nice, large balcony, clean apartment with a private bathroom. convenient kitchenette. good point to reach the city center and the airport. I would definitely recommend to people who are set on a peaceful stay with sightseeing.
My friend and I found this apartment very shabby. It looks nothing like the photos on Air BnB website. The bed is a basic uncomfortable steel frame affair. It is covered with a light brown bedspread which looks nothing like the hosts photo. There are only 2 flat hard pillows in the apartment and one pillow case had a hole in it. The kitchen is old and run down with no running hot water. There was one filthy tea towel, a fry pan with the non-stick coating half gone (the host replaced these after we complained bitterly) and a scourer not fit for use. One kitchen power point, which is behind a microwave which sits on top of the fridge. Power point impossible to use. The kettle is covered in scale and cannot be used to boil water to make a cup of tea/coffee. We booked for 4 nights but had to leave after one night because the smell coming from the bathroom was disgusting and caused us both to feel ill. We cannot recommend anyone stay at this apartment.
A very nice apartment. Everything you need is in the house. Bus stop to centre of city in the next street. Good experience living there!
good location. nice, clean and tidy apartment. You can have breakfast on the balcony))
The apartment is good locatet, it is only a 10 minute walk to Trastevere Station and there are 2 buses running.. It is rather quiet and bright.
It was clean, but pretty poor equipped; you can hardly prepare any meals, the espresso machine was broken, no espresso cups, no wine glasses..
WIFI didn't work with our laptop, TV was only good for italian stations.
The apartment needs some maintenance work (the windows do not close, switches are broken..), the washing machine did not work.
Great apartment, and great host - loved the neighbourhood too - the pizza shop downstairs was amazing. super useful information was letf for us too. it is a bit of a walk/bus to the metro, but that didn't hamper us, very good all around.
Ottimo rapporto qualita' prezzo.Stanza luminosa,ampia,confortevole e funzionale,vicina al centro.
