Great location

Enjoy expansive views of native prairie and the San Francisco Peaks, and watch for our resident herds of pronghorn antelope and elk! The dark night skies offer incredible stargazing, best enjoyed from the relaxing hot tub or your balcony deck, part of your 3-bedroom private upstairs suite.

Our tiny, peaceful, rural community of Parks is located 30 minutes from both Flagstaff and the old Route 66 town of Williams, less than 90 minutes from the Grand Canyon, and about an hour from Sedona.

The space
NEW PHOTOS COMING SOON! :)

You'll have your own cozy 3-bedroom upstairs suite, with the very best views of the prairie and mountains.

The west bedroom has a comfortable queen-size bed with a memory foam topper, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. That bedroom is also our library, so you will have a wall of books to look through if you need something to read!

The north bedroom also has a comfortable queen-size bed with a memory foam topper, 100% cotton sheets, and a down-alternative comforter. This bedroom is the largest, and has a closet for any clothing that you wish to hang up.

The east bedroom also functions as a sitting room, with a mini-fridge and coffee/tea/snack station. It is set up with a futon that opens to a double size bed, which is comfortable, but probably best suited for children or small adults. If you want to use this room for sleeping, let us know and we will make up the futon as a bed. Otherwise...sit and enjoy the view! We also have a cushiony corner in this room, perfect for meditation, or just curling up with a book.

Your private bath, with rainfall shower and teak shower mat, is off the hallway, just a few steps from each bedroom door. We have towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, a hairdryer, and comfy cotton bathrobes for your use.

You also have a small workspace available, with a printer, a scanner, an extra monitor (on request)...and a view of the prairie. Ordinarily there is a small-ish chair at the desk to save space...but if you need to get some serious work time in, we can swap that for a standard desk chair!

We have wifi available, but because of our rural location, we use a cellular connection. It isn't always super fast, especially in the evening. We do not have a TV...so you may want to download some entertainment during the day or before you arrive!

When the weather is nice, the upstairs deck is a great place to start or end your day. We have cushy patio furniture and a propane firepit to keep you warm.

While the upstairs will be entirely your private space, you are also very welcome to join us downstairs! You can lounge with us in the living room, and enjoy the cozy fire in the woodstove whenever it's chilly.

You're also welcome to use the kitchen and dining space...and if you'd like to cook a meal, you are free to use all of our kitchen appliances, pots and pans and utensils. We have basic seasonings, cooking oils, etc., and you are welcome to those as well.

We do stock some fruit and snacks for guests...but we don't currently prepare a full breakfast. That said...you are welcome to cook yourself some of our farm-fresh eggs!

If you need to do a load of laundry, a washer and dryer are available, too.

If you go out for the day, we're happy to make your bed and tidy the bathroom...but our default is to not intrude on your space, so please just let us know what you prefer! Also, you can always have clean sheets and towels upon request!

Last...please do ask if you have any questions at all -- about us, our home, or the area. If you need something out of the ordinary -- let us know and we will try to help! We are always happy to help you plan your stay.

We hope to see you in Northern Arizona soon! :)

Where you’ll be

Parks, Arizona, United States

Our home sits on the edge of a small neighborhood in a peaceful rural setting.

By road, we are about 5 miles from Interstate 40, and the last 4 miles are well-graded gravel. It is passable for any type of car, but maybe not so good for all motorcycles...and your vehicle will get dusty on the drive.

We are about a 10-minute drive from the Parks feed store, which sells gas, and has a small convenience store. We are about 30 minutes from restaurants, groceries, and other services, in either Williams or Flagstaff.

Our property backs up to public land, so great hiking, biking, and wildlife watching is available right from our door. You can also drive or walk to explore other nearby options, including open prairie, small lakes, and ponderosa pine forest.

Ross and I have called the Flagstaff area home for over 20 years, and we love to help people explore and enjoy this amazing and beautiful part of the country. Traveling, exploring, hiking, camping, and wildlife watching are some of our favorite things to do and to share with others. One of the things we love most about being an Airbnb host is that we can meet people from all over the world. It's like traveling without leaving home! We look forward to welcoming you to our home, and to helping you make the most of your visit!

During your stay

We will be available to greet you (unless it's late!), and will generally be available, throughout your stay.

When we rent out our home, we stay in our vintage Greyhound bus, parked behind the home. We have a vintage bus and camper conversion business, so during the day, we will be working on our latest project at our shop on site.

We are always happy to visit with you, answer questions, and chat...but if you prefer to be alone in your own space, that's perfectly OK with us, too!

Our dog Ginger will also be around on the property...but we will keep her separated from you and any pets you might bring.
