The apartment has been my home for many years at the time of my Dolce Vita. Now I live in Oslo with my family and I decided to rent it for short periods of time so we can still use it some time. I am a builder and I travel a lot.
This is my philosophy of hospitality: to live and work anywhere, but perhaps the most beautiful and comfortable in the world. This is what I think my apartment and Rome can offer.
The apartment is located in a building of the sixteenth century, built on and with the ruins of Pompeo's theater.
Just round the corner from Piazza Navona, the apartment is at the vortex of Rome ancient and modern. The style of furnishing is rather more modern than ancient, eclectic and personal in the choice of prints and paintings, a Roman hideaway for intellectuals, athletic ones who don't mind three floors with no lift.
A broadband connection is available to guest and there is also the wi-fi connectivity to the rest of the apartment (all free).

Rooms: a large sitting room with modern kitchen corner and the sofa folds out into a proper double bed. A double room with bathroom with shower
This fascinating corner of old rome takes its name from a game called Pallaro, a centuries-old version of today's lotto. The place was built on the ruins of the theatre of Pompeo(wich was built between the year 61 and 55 B.C.) where Julius Caesar was assassinated and the third floor apartament looks down on the largo - too small to merit the appellation of square - and from the sitting room windows the splendid dome of the baroque church of Sant Andrea della Valle seems almost close to enough to touch.

The location of the appartment is perfcet and safe. No need for us to use any public transportation to visit the highlight spots of Rome.
Really nice appartment, well equiped. Suitable for a couple or a family with children. A slight problem is the fact that the toilet is inside the main bedroom, leaving no privacy.
Mara was friendly , polite and always available to answer our questions.
Lovely apartment. Excellent location right in the centre of Rome and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. When we arrived, we were greeted by the lovely Mara who showed us all of the places of interest and recommended a few restaurants and bars for myself and my girlfriend to visit. Comfortable bed and nice bathroom / shower. Would recommend others to stay here.
Thank you so much Carlo.
The apartment was perfect for our winter visit. It was warm, clean, quiet and comfortable, and in a great location.
We appreciated Mara's warm welcome, and your kind attention. The apartment was well equipped, and it was a very kind of you to provide all we needed for breakfast and for drinks.
Once again thank you; we would certainly recommend your apartment to other visitors, and hope we can visit again in the future!
We had a lovely stay in Carlo's apartment. The location is excellent, with a 'secret passage' through to the Campo Di Fiore. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. You will need to haul your bags up three flights of stairs, but it's worth it.
Domus amorR Navona was exactly as shown on the internet. It was very well appointed we wanted for nothing. The breakfast items were more than sufficient for our length of stay.
The apartment was clean and extremely quiet for such a central location.
Gabriella spoke excellent English and was very helpful.
Siamo stati tre notti a casa di Carlo. La casa è centralissima, silenziosa nonostante la zona sia "calda" fino a notte fonda, munita di ogni comodità e accogliente. Non manca veramente nulla! Dovessi tornare a Roma saprei già dove alloggiare!
Very nice place. Great location. Everything was very clean and the apartment manager was very helpful. Sofa bed was comfortable and the wifi worked well.

The space I rent in Rome used to be my home when I was young and having “La Dolce Vita”. Now my life is mostly in Oslo, Norway, where my family is. Although I still want to use the space sometime, you know: workshops, family holidays, friends, in other words I want to keep it as temporary studio for special public or private occasions.
So I need to keep it alive and bring not occasional tourists in the love city of Roma.
