Our delightful, refurbished country cottage is perfectly located on the Welsh borders, close to the historic town of Monmouth. Sleeping up to 6 people it has stunning views over the Wye Valley (AONB) and our vineyard.

Guests will enjoy the peace of being in a rural area, with the convenience of being able to walk in to town where there are good restaurants, pubs, independent shops plus M&S and Waitrose. The river Wye , Offa's Dyke and the Forest of Dean are on accessible from our doorstep.

The space
The cottage is extremely well equipped and furnished to enable our guests to enjoy a luxurious country break away.

A welcome hamper of our own Estate wine , Welsh cheese, bread, butter, milk and eggs awaits you - along with those essential store cupboard ingredients such as salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, vinegar, etc.

The cottage has a large lounge with a desk area and a bright and airy kitchen diner leading out on to the west facing patio with gas BBQ and garden furniture - a gorgeous sun trap!
Upstairs are three good-sized bedrooms (one is en-suite) and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Two of the bedrooms can be made up as double or twin bedded rooms.

Walkers, cyclists and other adventurers will appreciate the utility room complete with washing machine, dryer and heated drying rack. Outside is a cycle rack for up to 4 bikes.

Parking space at the cottage for two cars - additional parking can be made available very close by.

Tennis players will be delighted to be able to use our all-weather tennis court.

Whichever way you look from the cottage there is natural beauty around you. To the west is Wales and the Brecon Beacons. To the east is the Forest of Dean which can be reached by crossing the river Wye and past The Kymin (NT). Go north and you'll be in the rolling green farmlands of Herefordshire and turn south and you'll find Tintern Abbey, the lower Wye valley and Chepstow.

In 10-15 minutes walk you can be in the centre of Monmouth where you'll be able to eat, drink, shop and admire the birthplace of Henry V and Charles Rolls (of Rolls Royce).

If golf is your favourite sport then you'll already know about the prestigious course at The Rolls of Monmouth - there is also Monmouth Golf Club and the Forest Hills Golf Club a short drive away. If you want to play at the Celtic Manor where the Ryder Cup was held back in 2010, then you're only a half an hour drive away.

Together with my husband I own and run the family vineyard close to Monmouth, Wales. I'm the mother of four adult children and 'Nana' to nine grandchildren. Christmas at our home is fantastic and I love it! I'm well travelled and enjoy city breaks, country retreats and activity holidays. I prefer older, historic renovated properties to modern hotels. I like to meet new people and have many friends in various parts of the world. My interests are art, history, buildings, gardens, theatre, music (all types) and local food. Family and friendships are the most important things to me.
