About this listing
We welcome you to an authentic Copenhagen experience in our trendy and spacious apartment.
We have two living rooms, one of which can be used as a bedroom (we have a extra foam double mattress or a cool retro weekend bed or a foam mattress) and one master bedroom (queen size bed) with the office in one end (you are welcome to borrow our iMac if you need to look things up online)..
Our apartment also has a well-designed kitchen fitted with a gas stove and all the cooking equipment you may need.
The bathroom is also fresh and new with a shower - small but well functioning.
We will of course provide clean sheets and towels.
When the sun is shining the best place to be is in our living rooms as the sun shines in the entire day. As the apartment is on the 5th floor it's also is the last place in Nørrebro where the sun leaves.
We have a fold-out bed for small kids and a bit of toys if you need it - we use it for our highly beloved nephew.
We do hope you'll feel at home here and enjoy living in 'wonderful Copenhagen'.
We're most happy to answer all of your questions either about our home or our city.
We look forward to welcoming you soon!
Ann-Sofie and Jens
Our apartment is located in the buzzing suburb of Nørrbro. This quarter of the city is charming, multi-cultural, and exciting.
There are lots of different stores and cafes for you explore in the area - these also offer you a true taste of Copenhagen. If you'd like to see the rest of the city, there's a bus and train station just 3 minutes walk away. Bus 5A will take you directly to Nørreport, Rådhuspladsen and Copenhagen Central Station. But CPH is really a city of bikes - therefore we recommend you to rent bikes and go wherever you want easily.
Grocery shopping is very cheap here and there are all different kinds of fruit and veggie markets. We have a supermarket just 1 minute away.
A fun park is just around the corner with quirky statues and objects from 150 countries all over the world -it's called Superkilen. This park has been named by the AIA (American Institute of Architects) as one of the world's best building project anno 2012!
And just 5 minutes in the other direction you'll find another popular park - Nørrebroparken - full of happy people and playgrounds.
We used to have bikes that you could borrow - but they both got stolen. Luckily there are bike stores with bikes for rent just 10 min away.
Other Things to Note
We love airbnb guests - a sweet thing when you travel :)
It's wonderful to have you and we hope you will have an enjoyable stay in our home.
We have a few rules:
- Please do not smoke anything in our apartment. I am allergic to smoke, and therefore it would be very sad to come home to a place where I can't live comfortably. There will be a fee taken from the security deposit of $50 if we can tell that you smoked inside.
- Please treat all our belongings as if they were your own. Most of our things are second hand therefore they are hard to replace.
- Please don't play loud music on weekdays after 10pm (this is a rule in the entire building because of small children).
- If you spill anything on the floor please clean the floor with a wet cloth right away.
This was pur first AirBnb experience as a renter, and it was perfect ! Ann Sophie has taken the time to answer all our questions (and we had a lot), the key-handover was superconvenient and the appartment well prepared for our arrival. The shower was an experience, but we knew that in advance from the add. We hope to be back some day !
We never met Ann-Sofie but we had no problem finding the apartment or getting in. It's very roomy and looks lovely. The location is fantastic - only 1 minute away from a train station and a supermarket. There is also a park (for adults too) nearby which was a lot of fun! The bed is rather small (feels slightly bigger than a single) but other than that it's a great place!
We had a phenomenal time in CPH at Ann-Sofie's flat. It was centrally located and her recommendations were great! The flat itself is aesthetically pleasing and was perfect for our group.
Ann-Sofie's place is very nice. It is exactly as you see in the pictures. We had two perfect seperate beds, nice livingroom, handy kitchen. The shower is small but easy. Just make shure you don't open the tap when the shower is still on the wall :). It is in a really nice area very close to all transport to the whole city. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nice apartment with plenty of space, apart from the bathroom which is typical for a Copenhagen apartment, small but well designed.
The area has good shopping and transport links to get into the centre of town and there are nice places to eat and drink within walking distance.
The hosts were super helpful and made us feel very welcome
Our stay was great! The apartment had everything we needed, was located in a great neighbourhood, had a gorgeous courtyard complete with chickens and children's play structures.
We would definitely recommend this apartment :)
About the Host, Ann-Sofie
We are a happy couple, who got married 22 oct 2011.
An active day is a good day for both of us. We both love different sports (tennis, badmin, squash, soccer, volley etc.), out door stuff (fishing, spear fishing, trekking, biking, running). We both love to drive around CPH on our bikes. Last year we bought a tandem bike and summer 2012 we rode to Croatia - a life adventure :) !! Lots of different cultures, nature and people (all things we enjoy). In 2014 we trekked in Nepal and in 2015 we travelled in New Zealand - full speed around the world :)
We are both students: Jens studies political science and sports and I study theology. Jens works as a fitness instructor and I work with a youth group in a church.
We are both Christian and go to a church right around the corner from our apartment.
Some favorite things to define us:
Jens couldn't live without: his wife, his bike, his computer, music and nature
Ann-Sofie (all most the same, we are pretty similar ;)): her husband, her bike, nature, sun and her faith (and a 6th thing: her mum)
Travels: Wauw we both love to travel - the only unexplored place for us is South America, where we really want to go.
Or a crazy bike ride again :)
Ann-Sofie: Tanzania, India and the Middle East
Jens: varies from Pink Floyd to Kanye West
Ann-Sofie: all different kinds of indie music, dance music (so that i can dance joy or antsy feelings out), pop, rock, classic - NO heavy! haha
Jens: Idioten, F. Dostojevskij
Ann-Sofie: I have some favorite authors: Søren Kirkegaard, Khaled Hosseini, Erlende Joe. Bible
Jens: The Devils advocate
Ann-Sofie: Hævnen by Susanne Birger
We cook often together from Claus Meyers recipe book (you are welcome to borrow it - goes after the seasons, some vege days and some with meat to save the environment).
Life motto: "Rejoyce in the Lord, I say again rejoice"
and Carpe Diem
(every day is a gift get the best out of it :) - laugh, smile, do something good to other people, spread love)..
Life is a party..
