--no pets, please. i'm allergic.---
the whole condo is yours for the time you have booked. the kitchen has most things that you might need for making a meal except the food. you will enjoy it. hit up the farmer's market.
Interaction with Guests
available via airbnb communication and text or phone for emergencies.
belmont is an awesome neighborhood. you can walk to so much great stuff, coffee, brunch, cocktails, fine dining, casual dining, powell's on hawthorne and powell's garden books, hawthorne street in general, porque no (my favorite taqueria/order a margarita with the juice they make there and be sure to add chili salt to the rim), vintage stores, food carts, movie madness, and so much more. parks and farmer's markets are close by, too.
this unit is located right on the 15 bus line, which goes right downtown. the fare is $2.50 for adults. there is street parking outside the building, and you can usually park on the same block.
Other Things to Note
I have recently changed out some of the furniture items, and photos are forthcoming.
-Washer and dryer. you have to lift the washer door up very gently to shut it so that the latch does not break off. the washer just takes about 2 tablespoons of soap. more than that can cause the board to go out. Washer must go through its cycles and then waits for about 4 minutes before door can be opened. Clean lint out of dryer each time you use. Call or text with any questions. They are strange. To prevent mold, leave washer door open a bit after use.
-Building quiet hours are from 10pm to 9 am
-Don’t leave building doors propped open.
-Door lock/use top lock
-Always take fob with you when you leave or you won’t be able to get back in.
-Side gate on west/garage side can be opened by pushing the green button in the bushes.
-Call immediately with any maintenance issues.
-Any time there is accumulation of condensation on the windows it is good to turn on the dehumidifier when you leave. It’s loud, so that’s when I usually do it. When it gets full, a red light will come on. You can remove the bottom container and pour down sink or bath tub.
-Let me know if there is other stuff you need…e.g. more towels, can opener, etc.
-If you open the kitchen window, please put the screen down. Squirrels have come into this window before. Put screen all the way up before closing window or they will scrape each other.
-The elevator is finicky. Don’t open gate until it has completely gotten to the floor you want to be on, or the door will not open

This was our first Airbnb experience and it was a very positive one. Julie was very helpful and accommodating. She responded quickly to any questions and concerns we had. The apt. is perfect for 1-2 people. It was nicely furnished and comfortable. The location was great. We were able to walk to many different restaurants and the bus to go downtown was a block away. It was a very good experience.
Julie was very easy to communicate with while we were in Portland. The neighborhood has plenty to offer and is easy access to downtown. The apartment was a great basecamp for us! We definitely recommend Julie and her adorable apartment!
Julie's place was amazing, quaint and homey. We loved it. Julie was great to work with, and the whole experience was smooth an easy. She's a great communicator, restaurant suggester and host!
Great apartment, great location and a great hostess. Julie was very accommodating even though my flight got into town quite late. Before arrival she provided me with a great list of local restaurants and made sure to let me know if I needed anything she was available to help. As others have said, the shower is a little bit intense but that's minor and of course you can turn it down. Highly recommended spot that gets you right in the middle of all the Portland action.
First of all, this place is such a gem!
Smack dab in SE Portland, we were minutes away from so many fun things (cheap movie theaters, delicious restaurants, cute shops, bowling and ping pong) and a short drive over to downtown. It is a short walk to the grocery store to have some food on hand (maybe for a lazy morning before going out?).
And the studio itself is so darn cute. Style for days!
Julie made our stay so easy and was incredibly nice and helpful when we got into town.
I would highly recommend staying here and can't wait to go back.
We had a great stay at Julie's little vintage studio. It was perfect girl time for me & my daughter. It felt really roomy for being a studio and had a sweet little kitchen and a great bathtub. The location was primo to everything we could want: food, coffee, restaurants, gourmet grocery, bus lines, parking, more coffee...and Julie was very accommodating in making our visit happen even though we planned it pretty last minute. Thank you, Julie! We also loved all your little vintage tea cups and tea pots . All in all, a great stay!!
Julie was very accommodating and the apartment was exactly as described. The space was very comfortable, and despite being one of many apartments in the building it was surprisingly quiet. I would definitely stay again.
