Located in a peaceful residential street in the heart of the traditional Latin Quarter, this apartment is close to all that Paris has to offer.
The Latin Quarter is primarily known for its vibrant nightlife and is itself a city within a city. The area has an amazing history and this street was once home to Rene Descartes - renowned for his Cartesian philosophy. More recently the Latin Quarter has been home to the filming of the latest Woody Allen movie, 'Midnight in Paris' and the street ends in lively Place de Contrescarpe & Mouffetard area, where you will find traditional boulangeries and bistros, bookshops and boutiques.
In the opposite direction the Mouffetard area intellectuals and academia (from Sorbonne and Polytechnique) mix with tourists with a glass of wine and a discussion or two.
Most of the streets in the Latin Quarter are named after intellectuals, philosophers, scientists and educational personalities of history and heritage. The apartment was right out of the movie "An American in Paris" right down to the pigeons cooing in the eaves outside the widows.
Here you'll have a room and a folding bed in the living roon . Allow to accommodate 3 persons in this Cosy apartment . There is a double bed and a wardrobe in the room also You will receive the keys, blankets, towels, sheets and what ever you need for a comfortable stay.
The apartment is very practical with a bathroom and the kitchen, where you can use anything you want, especially the washing-machine and coffee machine. I also share my free Wifi access and FREE phone calls to Australia and USA home line. (Land line Only)

This was an incredible apartment for a couple, and Alvin made the planning and our stay wonderful (he left us cookies!). He was very responsive and thorough on the details, and the pictures are very accurate. It was also great to have a washer/dryer. The neighborhood is the best in Paris (in my opinion) - the village Mouffetard and Place de la Contrescarpe are not to be missed, and all the major sites are just a walk away. We would love to stay there again.
Comfortable, light and well-appointed apartment on a quiet street in a lively neighbourhood. Best for a couple, but a very good value option for our little family! Many thanks to Alvin who was responsive, accommodating and generous - we had a lovely time and greatly appreciated his hospitality.
The apartment was terrific! Located near Place Monge, right on Metro line 7 (which takes you directly to the Louvre, Palais Royal, etc.), 15 mins walk from Notre Dame, 3 mins from lovely market on Rue Mouffetard. The apartment itself is clean, cozy, and nicely appointed. A separate bedroom was perfect for my daughter. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to make simple breakfasts, etc. The bathroom is clean and has a really good shower with no shortage of hot water. Laundry machine available in the bathroom for those who stay a little longer.
The main street (Rue Monge) has everything you need within 5 minutes walk - several bakeries, produce stores, butchers, 2 grocery stores, a wine shop. 10 minutes walk south on R. Monge took us to some excellent cafes.
Getting to the apartment is a bit tricky (2 gates, through a courtyard, up 4 flights of stairs), but Alvin provided perfectly clear instructions. Because of the stairs, it might not be an ideal stay for older guests, but my daughter and I found it delightful.
Alvin, likewise, was a great host - quick, clear responses to questions, very friendly and helpful when we arrived, and he gave us all sorts of useful information about the neighborhood, getting around, etc. The "house manual" tells you everything you need to know, and Alvin provides coffee (Nespresso) pods and French wine for a nominal price if you don't feel like buying your own.
You can get here on public transport (RER line B, transfer to Metro) in about an hour from Charles de Gaul airport for 10 Eu. Alvin provides clear directions.
This apartment is a gem. My daughter didn't want to leave - I recommend it highly.
Great neighborhood and very central for excursions and close to the metro. Our kids liked the little apartment immediately and climbing 5 floors did them some good ;-) I particularly loved the the close-by restaurants with their plaesant athmosphere.
Alvin is an excellent landlord, he gave us details direction to his apartment, and for more info about paris (i.e. make an reservation of a restaurant in paris for us). The apartment is a bit small but cozy, location is good but be reminded if you are traveling with your luggage cos there are many stairs you will come across.
Great location. Lots to do within walking distance in the area. We were visiting friends and family so, sadly, we didn't get to spend much time in the apartment. Wish we had more time there!
The hot shower and the nespresso machine were worth their weight in gold upon our arrival in Paris! The apartment is nicely arranged and very comfortable; the perfect place for my son and I to relax when we needed a break. Added pluses include a really wonderful patisserie, and a very accommodating and delicious local café nearby. Easy access to the Metro; Alvin's directions were excellent and easy to follow.
