Located in a peaceful residential street in the heart of the traditional Latin Quarter, this apartment is close to all that Paris has to offer.
The Latin Quarter is primarily known for its vibrant nightlife and is itself a city within a city. The area has an amazing history and this street was once home to Rene Descartes - renowned for his Cartesian philosophy. More recently the Latin Quarter has been home to the filming of the latest Woody Allen movie, 'Midnight in Paris' and the street ends in lively Place de Contrescarpe & Mouffetard area, where you will find traditional boulangeries and bistros, bookshops and boutiques.
In the opposite direction the Mouffetard area intellectuals and academia (from Sorbonne and Polytechnique) mix with tourists with a glass of wine and a discussion or two.
Most of the streets in the Latin Quarter are named after intellectuals, philosophers, scientists and educational personalities of history and heritage. The apartment was right out of the movie "An American in Paris" right down to the pigeons cooing in the eaves outside the widows.
Here you'll have a room and a folding bed in the living roon . Allow to accommodate 3 persons in this Cosy apartment . There is a double bed and a wardrobe in the room also You will receive the keys, blankets, towels, sheets and what ever you need for a comfortable stay.

This is a fabulous pied-à-terre! Alvin was always prompt and organized in his responses. He was willing to work with us on our arrival and departure times: very helpful. We really appreciated the cookies and the coffee maker heated and ready to go!
The apartment is exactly as pictured, very charming interior. The bed is so very comfortable, and the pull-down bed in the living room is more comfortable than most. The bedding for both is of high quality. The coffee machine takes Nespresso sized pods, so you can bring your own or easily pick some up at the nearby Carrefour or Franprix. Otherwise, there are a few to get you started, at 1 Euro each. There are also a few bottles of wine, at 12 Euros each.
Be ready of course for the 4th floor walk-up. There are also quite a few stairs at the nearest metro entrance/exit, and at the foot of the pedestrian street where the building is located. But hey...all those stairs mean you can have an extra croissant or deux. :)
Apt was easy to find, well-located and had everything we needed. It's a great area to stay in, very close to the metro and loads of cafes and restaurants nearby. The apt was perfect for the two of us, full of character, cosy and well-equipped.
Great stay at Alvin's place in Paris. The apartment is in a great location and was perfect for us.
Alvin provided great information in advance of our visit and the apartment was very easy to locate. It's on a quiet street just off a busy area with lots of restaurants, markets, and bars. It's a perfect location to see Paris by foot and easy to drop back to during the day. We were two adults and one baby...the stairs is very manageable and we left the stroller downstairs in the courtyard. The apartment is 'cosy' and had everything we needed.
This was my first trip to Paris and my first time using Airbnb. Both experiences were great. The apartment was in a fantastic area. Very close to the metro. Great little bars and restaurants with a lovely welcoming atmosphere.
Alvin responded to my emails promptly and was flexible with an offer of a late check out. He knew the local area and could provide tips for eating out etc.
The apartment was cosy and homely. It was equipped with everything we needed. The stairs were a good work out for the croissants! The neighbours seemed friendly. The apartment was quiet at night.
The bed was very comfortable, the electric heaters were adequate to heat the flat. The flat began to feel like a home after a while. I definitely enjoyed the freedom of a flat instead of a hotel. If this is your first time using this website I highly recommend it.
Great little apartment in a great location for local restaurants and bars. Close to Notre Dame and the Seine. Easy underground access too.
Excellent location, and cute place! Alvin was quickly responsive and helpful with recommendations when we contacted him. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra blankets as well. Plenty to do in the surrounding neighborhood, all within walking distance. Lots of maps in the apartment which were really useful. I recommend this place if you want to feel more like a local and get away from the hotels!
