About This Listing
In the heart of Las Cañitas we have one room available on the second floor of our house.
We have lived in this house with my husband for many years now. We have four children that no longer live with us but that do come often to visit. We love to travel and for that reason also enjoy receiving people that are getting to know or already love our beautifull city/country.
We love nature and have traveled a lot and therefore know quite a bit about Argentina, and we are always willing to share this information with our guests.
Our house is large and has a nice garden. We have a fireplace that during winter is always lit. Our kitchen is wide and there you will find tea, cofee and mate to have a tasty breakfast.
Our street is very quiet as it is a dead end street (it ends on to the Argentinian Polo Court).
The neighbourhood has a lot of restaurants and shops. It also has an easy acces to other parts of the city as we have a train station, a subway station and quite a few bus stations only a few blocks away.
We are quite close to the Bosques de Palermo (a Big Park in Palermo), the Museum of Fine Arts, the Malba and the Recoleta Cultural Center.
We are also near the local airport. If you take a taxi you can get there in 15 minutes, or you can also take a bus, and this will take around 30 minutes.
For our week vacation in Buenos Aires, my boyfriend and I decided to stay with Monica and Marcello. Based on the photos, I had high expectations and we were not disappointed. We had a lovely stay at their airbnb in the neighborhood of Las Cañitas, right next to the polo grounds and adjacent to a handful of boutiques and lots of restaurants and bars. Their house is really a little oasis of natural beauty and quiet hidden among the teeming city of Buenos Aires. We loved the wholesome, delicious breakfast every morning and really enjoyed talking with Monica and Marcello about what to do around town as well as just getting to learn a little about their lives and their perspective as Argentines. It was a rewarding experience to meet such a nice couple and we had a fun time. I would say for the convenient location, reasonable pricing, and quality of hosting, this airbnb can't be beat.
Emplacement parfait
Monica and Marcelo were wonderful hosts. Their home was comfortable and very welcoming. They provided a wealth of information and were a pleasure to spend time with. They were very busy, but took time to speak with us about what to do in Buenos Aires. The location was great and the neighborhood had plenty to see and do. You must stay here if you visit Buenis Aires! Monica and Marcelo were so pleasant and interesting to talk to. They are simply the best hosts we met in our travels!!
The host, Monica made me feel very welcome there amongst her and her family. She was easy to communicate with in advance and I found the house as charming as I had hoped, in fact more! It is peaceful, green and a unique home that has grown over time which makes it very special. The neighbourhood is also very nice. I would recommend this accomodation for anyone just arriving in Buenos Aires for the first time or interested in a green experience of Palermo. The breakfast is also very good!
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Mónica and Marcelo and staying at their charming house with its beautiful garden. They are very warm hosts and it was a shame that our stay had to be as short as one night. We still managed a fascinating discussion over a delicious breakfast, however. Anouchka was able to practice her Spanish while for me their English was excellent. It was amazing how quiet it was in such a busy metropolis and we'd have no hesitation in staying there again if we come back to Buenos Aires.
We have spent only one night and morning at Monica's and Marcel's house. Nevertheless our impressions could not be more positive. They are very warm and hospitable people. Breakfast was delicious and Marcel's tips over Argentinian nature sites very helpfull. The place is extraordinary. Like a secret garden in the center of a big city. It's a pitty we stayed there for one night only. Big thank you :)
