In the heart of Las Cañitas we have one room available on the second floor of our house.
We have lived in this house with my husband for many years now. We have four children that no longer live with us but that do come often to visit. We love to travel and for that reason also enjoy receiving people that are getting to know or already love our beautifull city/country.
We love nature and have traveled a lot and therefore know quite a bit about Argentina, and we are always willing to share this information with our guests.
Our house is large and has a nice garden. We have a fireplace that during winter is always lit. Our kitchen is wide and there you will find tea, cofee and mate to have a tasty breakfast.
Our street is very quiet as it is a dead end street (it ends on to the Argentinian Polo Court).
The neighbourhood has a lot of restaurants and shops. It also has an easy acces to other parts of the city as we have a train station, a subway station and quite a few bus stations only a few blocks away.
We are quite close to the Bosques de Palermo (a Big Park in Palermo), the Museum of Fine Arts, the Malba and the Recoleta Cultural Center.
We are also near the local airport. If you take a taxi you can get there in 15 minutes, or you can also take a bus, and this will take around 30 minutes.

Monica and Marcelo are absolutely wonderful hosts. Their advice and recommendations were helpful and practical. They are intelligent and tactful. They travel a lot themselves, therefore, they now traveler’s needs. Our flight in was delayed and we came to their house past midnight. Monica greeted us with a smile and showed us to our room. Their house is architecturally interesting. Everything is clean, quiet and inviting. The location is safe, convenient and quite.
Breakfasts are delicious and healthy. We are glad we stayed with them. They are a friendly, tight-knit family.
Monica and Marcello are great hosts and their place is a lovely, quiet and very well kept place in a relaxed neighborhood with lots of restaurants and bars nearby. We immediately felt like home and not only as guests but friends! We would definitively love to visit them again!
We loved our place in Las Canitas - Palermo. Monica and Marcello were very welcoming and helpful for our first time in Argentina. Their family home in the middle of this little neighborhood was very nice.
I just come back from Buenos Aires where I was hosted by Monica and Marcelo in their lovely and peaceful house in Palermo. I felt like at home, they have been very helpful giving me the right suggestions on what and how to visit BA at its best. Especially breakfast was a nice occasion to talk, about our respective lives, about Argentina and my country Italy.
The room was very confortable, clean and extremely silent (I remember being waken up with the singing of the birds in the garden!). Weather was extremely hot last week, so they always kept the air conditioning in the room switched on to leave it fresh for my return. Toilet was downstairs, with a nice shower, always clean.
The whole atmosphere of the house was relaxed, Monica Marcelo nice and friendly people, as well as the rest of the family.
The day I had to leave to get my plane back to Italy, a big thunderstorm fell over BA so no taxis were to be found due to exceptional flooding; Marcelo was very supportive to take his car and bring me to a place where I could easily get one.
The district Las Canitas (part of Palermo barrio) is well connected to the centre with Metro line D, and many buses that go everywhere (centre, Recoleta and Boca). The first day I even walked as far as the Obelisc. The streets are full of restaurants, pubs, so after a whole day sightseing in the centre, it was ok for me to remain near the house and have an open air dinner in one of these places (crowded and lively!).
Needless to say, if I go back to BA in future I will definetly stay at Monica and Marcelo's place. They were not simply hosts, I found new friends in Argentina and surely we will meet again !
So I highly suggest Monica house!
My stay with Monica was very positive - her and her husband made me feel
very welcome as it was my first time in BsAs, and the room and house were
just as advertised and clean and pretty. Over a nice breakfast, they gave
me an overview of the neighbourhood and I was set to explore. The area is
really nice, with lots of restaurants and bars, and well connected to the
rest of town with various collectives (buses) and via Subte. I definitely
recommend staying there!
Monica and her husband Marcelo were very nice hosts. They were always willing to give us information about their beautiful city. Our room was perfect, their house lovely. The neighborhood was pleasant to walk at any time of the day. We also hope to see them again. No doubt, I recommend them for a perfect vacation in Buenos Aires.
