10% Service Charge will be added to all rental periods, to be paid in cash upon taking up residency.

There are 2 houses on the property that can be rented as whole unit, however if the bungalow is rented separately it does not have pool access.

For a very small fee and a short walk down the path you can use the pool at the resort next door

Quiet and off the main road but not so far in to the ricefields to make access difficult...

Close to many local Warungs, transport, health spas, organic restaurants....

Houses can be rented separately or together if travelling with a group. Please see my other listing.

Located only 1.5 km's to Central Ubud, Far from the crowds but still conveniently close...Walking distance to countless Organic and Local Restaurants...La la Lilies...Yellow Flower...Mades name a few,Local Shopping, Temples, Yoga and Meditation centres and Local Health Spas including Alchemy.
Easy road access but without any of the noise. Motor cycle parking on site. Easy access to Airport...pick up and drop off can be organised with our local driver, beaches and volcano. All modern ammenities.

Hi Speed WiFi included. and friendly professional staff to take care of you during your stay.

We are located in a lovely rice field village, which is also the centre for 'Young Artists' in Bali, and many other handicrafts. It is a comfortable 1.5 km stroll from central Ubud (one steep hill), a one hour drive from the airport, several beaches and the volcano in central Ubud. The rice fields themselves are car-free, although there is motorbike access, it is serene and filled with natural beauty, and much flora, fauna and wild-life. It is close to all the activities, yet in a unique and tranquil setting. Higher and towards the foothills of the volcano, still tropical but not as hot as the beach areas. This is the cultural centre of Bali, and besides the local artists there are several art galleries and museums, plus every evening there are traditional dance performances, besides local temple ceremonies, where visitors are always welcome. There are countless wonderful restaurants for all budgets, great night-life, yoga studios and access to every healing modality imaginable.

Please note that rental rates will change between low and high season

  • This bungalow is ridiculous in all the best ways possible!! Tucked back off the main roads in a little village just outside of Ubud, Penestenan. Exactly as pictured, but the bathroom is much more magical in person. The mosquito nets get three thumbs up!!! A decent walk (bring a sun hat, a small towel to wipe all of your sweat, and a bottled water w ya!) to Ubud city, but close enough to walk to shopping, eating, museums, and the Monkey Forest!!! Bungalows are just behind BuBu's Warung, which is on Trip Advisor as a great spot to eat!! It was closed during my stay because of the Hindu ceremony happening in the area at the time of my stay, but worth trying when you don't want to walk as far as Ubud city to eat. Staff is friendly and efficient. Didn't get a chance to meet Susan at all, but there was no need as everything was seamless. Wifi was stellar!!! Safe inside the room for precious personal items. Lots of windows w beautiful garden views. Only the tub produces hot water (the shower only cold) but you are told this upon arrival. The tub was honestly more inviting in this gorgeous inside/outside space. Both Beds were very comfortable and spacious. Highly recommend!!!

  • Villa is very comfortable situated. Its very calm and has fascinating morning view on rice field!
The rooms very nice and cozy, stuff makes a clean every day.

The kitchen is not very big but has all equipments

At the and famous Balinese soundtrack:
    Geeeeeeckoooo geeeckoooooo geeeeeckoooo

  • Very nice spot and location for this accommodation. Far enough from the busy and chaotic Ubud centre, but close enough to go there by foot. There are various organic café/restaurants, shops and Spa located door step from the villa.
Unfortunately it was noisy (starting at 7am) because the neighborhood are building a new house. It was not possible to use the swimming pool in the annex and there are a lot of mosquitos at night despite the lemongrass spiral was on. The transfer service price from DPS airport offered by the host was competitive and I strongly recommend other guests to use it because it could result easy to be lost in Ubud (especially when dark outside).

  • We loved our stay in Ubud in the bungalow, gets you away from the city noises.
The green environment, plants and flowers are wonderfull.
The bungalow itself is more then okay, I would describe it as basic luxury.
The open bathoom is big and amazing, bedroom is spacious and stylish (email hidden).
Nice porch with a hammock I enjoyed :)
Bungalow even has a modern safe that fits a laptop.

Ketut was very helpfull with arranging a scooter within 10min on arrival.

Would stay again when in Ubud.

  • Our stay in the Bungalow was great. It is spacious and looks even better than in the pictures. We have never met Susan in person but Ketut was lovley and tried to help us whenever possible. We would defenitly recomend this place it is a quiet little refuge in the bustling Ubud area.

  • I had a great stay in Susan's bungalow. Perfect size for a single person or couple. Location was fantastic. So many yummy organic restaurants just outside your door and only a 20 min walk into town. Spotless. Thank you.

  • Traditional Balinese Bungalow is just as the name describes. This place is very cozy and sweet, tucked away in the forest. Ketut manages the place and he is always available to help with whatever needs you may have, he is great! Also very easy to communicate with Susan, as we were able to email back and forth with almost no notice to rent this space! The only bummer here is that the internet access is a bit spotty, which can be annoying or a nice time spent off the grid :)

  • I enjoyed my stay however at first was a little dismayed at the long walk to Central Ubud (30 mins and hilly). Having said that it was good from an exercise point of view and there was a lot of taxis and motorbikes willing to help out at around (phone number hidden) IDR.

The room upstairs was lovely albeit it was loft style so if you don't fancy steep flights of stairs maybe not for you. But I loved waking up there, with nothing but green outlook from all the windows - very peaceful. The bathroom is gorgeous as is the front porch with hammock.

The lower level room with the second bed is a little dark.

All in all it really was nice but for the money I feel you could probably stay at quite a nice guesthouse closer in inclusive of breakfast, however if you want privacy, your own kitchen this works well.

  • Susan was very prompt to answer my questions and clear my concern during the booking. The bungalow is well taken care of and exactly as showed in the pictures. It is clean, spacious and quiet, a true balinese style.
The upper stair room is sunny, lofty and has a great view, but the lower room is a bit of dark. My daughter loves the swing bed in the porch. The only downside is not having a swimming pool.

There are many choices of restaurants within 5 mins walk. The Ubud cernter is about 20 mins walk with many shops along the way. We enjoyed Bayu’s Kitchen which has live music at night. Bubu's Warung is quiet yet tasteful local eatery just outside the bungalow.

We had an incredibly relaxing time here. Thank you Susan and ketut.
