Newly renovated,in the heart of Thessaloniki and in a small distance from the Church of Agios Dimitrios, Turkish Consultant, Kamara(The Arch of Galerius) and Rotunda.A 10 minute-walk from Aristotelous square or Ano Poli. All kinds of shops nearby.
The house has WIFI and Air Condition. It is renovated with 2 bedrooms, the one has a double bed while the other a semi-double. The living room has a three-seat sofa, a two-seat sofa and a TV. The three-seat sofa converts into a bed big enough for 1 person while the two-seat sofa is comfortable enough to rest or to take a nap but not so for a good night sleep. The kitchen provides the basic appliances to prepare a meal or beverages, such as fridge(with freezer),kettle, coffee maker, frappe frother(mixer), cooktop with 2 electric hotplates etc. The windows are new, so you can leave the trafficnoise outside. In front of the house there are a super market, a greek restaurant with traditional food and a greek souvlaki fast food, a bakery, a dvd club for dvds and games while in a small range there are cafes, traditional "tavernas"(greek restaurants) and a lot more!! There is a Parking lot under the house which charges 10 Euros per night aproximatelly.
Turkish Consulate is next to the house. In 3 minutes, walking on foot you get to Aristotle university of Thessaloniki. In a 5-minute walk you reach Kamara (The Arch of Galerius) and the Rotunda. You can also go on foot to Ano Poli(Upper Town) and enjoy food and coffee in one of the picturesque cafes and traditional restaurants. The Church of Agios Dimitrios(Saint Demetrius, the patron saint of Thessaloniki) is in a distance of 5 minutes on foot from the house, while for Aristotelous square you need 10 minutes on foot. The airport "Macedonia" is accessible by urban bus and it is 16 km away.
Interaction with Guests
There are 3 people who will welcome you when you come to our house!Either me, Valentinos, and my wife, Amaryllis who speak English and Greek, or Chrisanthi.Chrisanthi is our friend, who is a native speaker of English and speaks Greek fluently!
Even if the house is in the centre of the city there are plenty of trees and flowers all over the neighbourhood! There is also a park near the apartment. Moreover, there are a lot of shops open 24 hours a day!
In front of the apartment there is a bus stop( bus 16) while in 30 metres there is a taxi station.

Gerne wieder.
The location is perfect and the flat very convenient and clear. Overall a good experience. I recommend it to anyone with a small budget who wants to stay close to the center.
I am going to be completely honest; Neighborhood is great, so close to the center of the city but absolutely no free/cheap parking available for your car. House was told to be suitable for 4 however bedroom has a double bed for 2 and there is a single bed for 1 in another room. Saloon/entrance has a couch for three person to SIT which I have felt all the separators on my back all night.
Heating system is on electricity and due to the technical capalities, you cannot turn 3 at a time including the water heater for bathroom. Fuses are old or sth. Bathroom is really small and the curtain is unnecessary as you wet all the bathroom while trying to have a shower. And don't forget that you've switched of an heater to use the water heater. So don't expect a warm welcome when you're back in the bedroom. I, personally not suggest you to stay there in winter time until these difficulties are gone. Also, this place is STRICTLY for 3 GUESTS. Another proof that only 3 stools and a tiny table for max 3 in the kitchen. Having a bug in the kitchen and wake up stung by a insect were also negative sides. This was my lowest rated place yet in airbnb, still a good place and nice furbished but I cannot give the same feedback with other 5 star places I've been.
First of all when you decided to rent the apartment you SHOULD have read the description of the house! You knew that the house will have one double bed, one semi-double and one couch. It's your problem that you didn't read the DESCRIPTION.
About the parking; BEFORE you made the reservation I TOLD you how much the parking will charge you! The parking lot at the basement of the house is the cheapiest Parking Lot in the Center of Thessaloniki! It costs 10 euros for 24 hours while other parking lots in the center costs 3 euros per hour.
About electricity devices; I address to all Airbnb guests: Over the 90% of the houses at Thessaloniki have the same problem. Because all the buildings are built before 1990 the electric systems of the houses can stand up to 7500 watts simultaneously. Not only at my apartment and at Thessaloniki but at most apartments in Greece this is something that happens. Fuses are NOT old. They are new.
About the bathroom; The curtain is necessary. It's your problem if you didn't close the curtain properly. The bathroom is enough for ONE person per time. You are not at Hilton to ask for a bathroom for four people.
About the heater; It is a global fact that you should close the heater before use. Also you switch on the heater before you want to use it. You don't let the heater on for hours because the heater warms the water at 15 minutes. So if you want a warm welcome either you ask it before your check in so I will turn on the heater for you or after your check in you turn on the heater and you will have a bath in 15 minutes!
About your suggestion. Listen my friend I have host over 200 guests this winter and nobody told such bad things like you. It's the first time that someone has something bad to say about the apartment. So there are two possibilities; The first is that all who stayed at the apartment and made a perfect review are liars or you are making a mistake. I let all Airbnb guests choose the right answer.
YOU stayed only for ONE night so you are not in position to tell someone if the apartment is enough for 4 people. In this apartment had stayed 4 people for 5 -10 nights and they were absolutelly satisfied.
About the insect; Oh my goodness you wrote something like that? I can't believe what I am reading. You didn't think that maybe you open the doors at the balcony and the insect came inside? I'm sorry but I can't fight nature and its creatures.
Have a nice day
Great downtown apartment close to everything. Warm and cozy with all necessary facilities. Cheap parking available and a friendly, caring host. Highly recommended, thanks for everything!
Nice apartment. Great value for money. Convenient location. We had a nice stay.
Valentinos was very easy to communicate with and flexible about our arrival time. His place is clean and in a nice area of Thessaloniki which is about 15 min walk to the seafront.
