Interaction with Guests
I am always there to meet guests and show them around on their arrival. I live on the property and I am always available. I will bring a breakfast basket to the caravan each morning at a time that suits you.
Our neighbourhood is a quiet country lane by the sea. Many of the houses remain unchanged for the last century and still have thatched roofs and traditional white washed walls. Most of our neighbours are fishermen and farmers. It is such a beautiful, scenic area and perfectly located just five minutes drive to the local picturesque village. The village has shops, bars, restaurants, a post office, pharmacy, cafes, public swimming pool and gift shops. There is also a wonderful forest to explore with walking trails and a walled garden.
We are a ten minute drive from the Dublin- Galway motorway. Shannon airport is a 45 minute drive away. There is a fanastic public bus service in the local village. It runs hourly to and from Galway.
Deirdre was warm and welcoming and the van is really nicely decorated with lots of attention to detail. I slept like a baby !
After a realy uncomplicated booking and thanks to easy directions, we arrived late in the evening at the cosy vintage Van. It was easy and lovely to find it thanks to the light switched on in the van. It was a really warm welcome and we felt comfortable from the beginning on. Even if we only stayed one night, we loved the van and the extraordinary likeable which completed a perfect stay with a lot of little details. I highly recommend the cosy vintage Van.
Deirdre was a perfect host, welcoming and warm-hearted. The van is succesfully transformed in a cosy place to stay, very comfortable and well decorated. The view is amazing!
There is an easily accessible part of Deirdre's house that you can use for showering and cooking which is perfect.
Deirdre also cooks a delicious breakfast for the guests.
We had a great stay.
Deirdre's Cosy Vintage Van and its reviews certainly didn't disappoint. Deirdre was entirely welcoming, her breakfast and snacks were delicious, and the caravan was all I expected it to be. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, the spectacular views from the caravan, the bracing sea air and the surrounding countryside and would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends.
We had an amazing time at Dierdre's farm. We loved waking up on the water to the sound of farm animals, and her baked goods are amazing. Would definitely recommend to anybody who wants a great base to explore the Atlantic coast!

About the Host, Deirdre
Nothing gives me more pleasure than taking a nice leisurely walk in the countryside or along the coast taking in the beautiful nature around me. I am keen gardener and here on the farm we grow nearly all our own vegetables and herbs as well as gorgeous cottage garden style flowers. I have a history in floristry and a real passion for it and my other passion is cooking and baking, You can always get the smell of something cooking in the kitchen here!
