Our welcome was not at all good. There was a very rude man who eventually handed us over to a brilliant polite and efficient young lady. The description of the flat was not accurate - there was no roof terrace to sit on, as there was a very noisy AC Unit on it and no seating. The courtyard could not be used, as the only furniture provided was for the downstairs flats. On return to the flat on the first night there was a very rude sign on the door telling us to be quiet after 10pm - and we had been out all evening! The small bedroom was very small - no room for a suitcase.

Response from Leila:
Rosalind, even though my contact with you was smooth and problem free, my colleague, the apartment manager reported to me that at the checkin there was great confusion caused by a flood of people you bought with you well exceeding the 8 the room was booked for. Apparantly half had to go to another apartment, so my colleague rightly asked to know who exactly were the people who were to stay at the apartment so as they could be registered as the law requires, and for each to pay the obligatory tourist fee, and apparantly everyone looked one to the other and they said they do not know yet. In two words "total disorganization" and chaos and loud noise which disturbed other guests staying in adjacent apartments who later complained to us...... The courtyard tables are for the use of guests staying in the apartments overlooking the courtyard as there is only a small table with two chairs in front of each studio apartment., Rosalind booked a large apartment for 8 people on the second floor, so they have no right to use other areas of smaller studios booked by other people. Regarding the noise, Rosalind and friends made a lot of chaos and noise on arrival already at about 19:00 hours and we had complaints from other guests. We placed a sign on the door asking them to respect the vicinity of other guests. It was also a real problem to get copies of each guest in Roasalind's groups passports in a timely manner. We are obliged by Italian law to take copies to the police station within 24 hours of clients arrival, otherwise we risk a big penalty. All in all total lack of respect for our structure.

Amazing apartment. Everything was Perfect. Easy to reach, the People were so kind and the House had everything we needed. Close to the center (5 min to Santa Croce, 10 min to uffizzi and palazzo vecchio) and to a lot of restaurants. Our staying at the cellini apartment was so great!

warning! do not tempt to book this the listing. "the host" Leila is completely unreliable as i will describe. in short- I doubt it if she owns the flat. once you book it she refers you to another party that does not assist you at all and you are stuck with no alternative for accommodating- an Airbnb guests nightmare. After i booked the flat i got an email from Leila saying that i should contact a person named Rachid, the is the person that actually there and he will address everything regarding our stay. I emailed Rachid a few times and i got no respond, even a day before arrival. I also tried to call several times and there was no answer. I emailed Leila saying that i am arriving tomorrow and Rachid is not responding and i would like to put my luggage at the morning since the check in is only at 13:00. only at night Leila responded that i can't come at the morning, and if i want to check in i must come at 14:00 since it is Sunday and they are not working at the day- yes exactly as you hear- the host approved me to book a flat knowingly it will be problematic to check in at that day since they are not working. when i talked to Rachid trying to understand why he did not respond to my emails, showing him my emails on his computer (which he did not even opened) he responded that he does not deal with Airbnb booking at all since it is Leila's role and that's why he ignored it. Leila's respond is that Rachid is responsible to run the place and answers questions and she just deals with Airbnb. the result is a ping pong with no help from any of them that led my (and the rest of my family) to deposite our luggage at the train statiom and to burn half a day for all of the going back on forth. leila or Rachid offered no compensation or help. they were just condescending. this approach continued at the rest of our stay in other problems that we had with flat such as hot water and toilet problems.

Response from Leila:
Your review is vindictive, 100% unreasonable and insulting!! We did our best as a team to accommodate you and your group right from the moment of your initial request!! We received only one email from you the night before you were due to arrive requesting to leave your bags at 9am on Sunday morning (even though it is clearly indicated check in is between 1pm-5pm). Nevertheless I did my best to arrange it for you but we could not find anyone to meet you that early. I therefore suggested a valid alternative to leave your bags at the railway station left luggage, most convenient as you were arriving by train. As it wasn't possible you sent me a series of rude emails showing your discontent and you later contacted Airbnb trying to claim reimbursement for the cost of the left luggage which they refused!!) When you checked in at the arranged time of 2pm you were rude and uncooperative with my colleague, who later nearly had to call the police as you refused to give your passports after being repeatedly requested. My colleague went out of his way for these clients, overlooking their rudeness and even phoned a taxi for them on their departure. All in all a very unpleasant encounter both with myself via email and with my colleague on site!!! We do not recommend this guest.

This was a great stay for us. We were two families and it was a ideal place for us to stay. It is very close to the campo de marte station. In fact we walked to the apartment from the station. The apartment itself was great and very comfortable. The apartment manager gave us all the required information and was helpful for us in planning our trips in the city. There is also a nice Farmers markets literally minutes away from the Apartment and you can visit it to get a feel from real good Tuscan vegetables, fruits and meats. The Restaurant right in front of the apartment is very good too. All in all I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit Florence.

I'm Leah originally from Australia I lived for 14 years in Florence, Italy where I still have active contacts. For the past 3 years I have lived in Marrakech, Morocco a vibrant town pulsating in exotic sounds and sights. I love living here; the people, the food, the landscape, the religion, the architecture and the music...
Travel expands our life experience, paradoxically encountering people and places out of our daily routines and comfort zones increases understanding of ourselves and those close to us...
Marrakech is music to the ears and the heart!
