I enjoyed staying here. I was warmly welcomed by Kiran's niece Natasha and her friend Depo. They were very nice. It was located in south Mumbai and near where I had to go. The house is simple but covers the basics - big room, hot shower and fast wifi. My only complaint is that the bedroom does not have a window. Nearby they took me to a clean vegetarian restaurant and I was on my way. Would recommend.
Kiran was a great host, even if he wasn't there in a physical way ;-) Natasha did a great job and the place had the best location you can mention! Just a walk to good restaurants, a lot of street food stalls and a nice market without any tourists :-) It was great, I really recommend to stay at Kirans place!
Perfekt Communication before arrival and a lovely welcoming from Natasha and her friend great location right by the train station the room was clean and nice and great for a weekend stay in the middle of the city plus the map I got in an email before was very very good thank you
We were sorry to miss Kiran himself, as he had to be abroad during our stay in The Pantheon, but we were wellcomed warmly by Natasja and Neetah, who installed us in no time. For the curious newcomer to India Kiran's place is strategically placed in one of the liveliest neighbourghoods of Mumbai, as we found later. We have enjoyed every minute of our stay.
The accomodation is offered at a good price for the proximity to the most scenic spots in Mumbai. However, having stayed in several places in Mumbai, the direct surroundings of "the Pantheon" are not the coziest to stay in.
The communication with Kiran before and during our stay was great. He provided more than just the essential information, recommended restaurant as well as sights around the apartment. Upon arrival, his niece was there to welcome us and even brought a cold beer to make us feel at ease immediately.
Unfortunately, the apartment did not look exactly as neat and clean as the photos suggest. Yet, for Indian standards it was fine.
In addition, it was considerably noisy at night and the apartment's power supply went off multiple times in the late evening, creating a less comfortable and unsafe atmosphere. My girlfriend and I initially planned to stay for two nights at "the Pantheon", but decided to leave the next morning due to the uncomfortable setting. Kiran handled the situation well, assured us of the safety of both the house and the neighborhood and offered to reimburse our second night. Also, we were able to leave our luggage in the apartment after check-out. When we wanted to pick it up in the evening, Natasha however showed up almost 1 hour late without leaving any notice. While waiting we were unable to reach either Kiran, his niece or Natasha by phone.
All in all, "the Pantheon" offers a great value for people wanting to crash in near the hot spots in Mumbai. Kiran is nice and works professionally. The communication with him and the infos he provided were great! However, to our mind and experience, there are nicer spots in Mumbai (consider Bandra), featuring a cozier accomodation and atmosphere.
Thanks for the complete review on your one night stay Jan-Rasmus. I'd like to add few points. The power supply disconnection is something which happens rarely in Mumbai, so if your only one night stay in "The Pantheon" had to face that, I'm sorry about it, but it's out of my hand.
I say that the room on the offer is exactly like how it shows in the photos and the maintenance and cleanliness of the apartment is assured by us.
About the noises in the night probably you must have heard the neighbors trying to connect the electricity back as I mentioned we might face the power cut off once in a year. My apartment is located in the center of the city but fortunately my flat is like an oasis as mentioned in other reviews.
Especially there is no sound from evening till morning, cause during the hectic days of Mumbai everybody is out and working which make the nights as silent as a deserted city.
Also finding the suburbs of Mumbai (like Bandra) more interesting than South Mumbai, is really very much personal which has nothing to do with my offer. One might prefer to stay somewhere far from all the touristic attractions of South Mumbai but spend 2 hours travelling in Mumbai traffic every day. It's your choice.
About your luggage, keeping them in the house after check out time was a favour accepted by my sister, and she had to leave her personal work in an inconvenient time to come back and let you take them. We are happy to help all our guests as much as we can, but we are not obliged to such services.
Thank you very much for hosting us for several days in Mumbai, Kiran! You communicated well about your absence (and who/how to contact otherwise) and all was as promised. We were newbies to India and Mumbai was our first stop in this vast country, so your space provided a good springboard for access to the city as well as a bit of a refuge. We especially appreciated your niece's attentiveness and help, as well as being in an area of town that was not crushingly touristy, but had everything one needed. Thanks again!

Fortunately we live in South Mumbai, the best part of Mumbai. My flat is always ready for visitors. I like to keep it clean and uncluttered, such as you would expect in a good hotel space. Me and my Ali take good care of our apartment and our guests. So be our guest and enjoy Mumbai !
