My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights in this lovely villa and we really enjoyed the experience. The place is in the middle of the rice field, it s very quiet and beautiful. It makes you feel that you just want to stay there and enjoy the view and the nice villa. The pictures dont lie and the design and decoration are great. If you want to visit Ubud I advice you to rent a scooter, we choose to walk, it s doable but tiring!! The breakfast was very nice ( i love the lemongrass ginger tea!) and prepared on request. Made was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. He called us a few times and came to visit us to make sure everything was fine. It was nice to chat with him and discuss about Indonesian and Balinese culture. Other than Made,Dewa, the driver was very friendly and helpful to us. He told us a lot of stories and traditions of Bali.
Dont hesitate, this place will definitely makes your stay wonderful!!
Our stay was perfect and we were happy to spend more than a week in the smaller of the the two villas. The host, I Made, is attentive and looks after every need you might have, not just in the beginning, he regularly checks on the well being of his guests. He even purchased new baby cots for our stay. The staff looks after the kids when you have breakfast or dinner. We loved the location, somewhat away from the bustle of Ubud, but still 6-7 minutes right to the centre of town. The villa is wonderful, amidst rice paddies in a completely rural setting. Tastefully decorated with love for small details. Highly recommended in every regard, including breakfast and the tasty dinners. If we travel to Ubud again, we will for sure stay here again.
My wife and I stayed here for the first leg of our first Bali trip, and I cant say enough good things about this place. Absolutely AMAZING! There is a difference when a home is loved as opposed to being used as just a business, and it all shines through from the passion of our host, Made, who loves what he does and loves to meet new ppl, to the home that is so well cared for, to the staff, who prepared just delicious breakfasts and kept the home clean as it should. Just knowing you are so well cared for added to comfort that we felt. Thank you Made for recommending so many good places in town to eat. You also couldn't ask for a more relaxing home, out of the way of the city, yet only a 7 min. drive by scooter. Frankly it was quite difficult to even leave the home to start the day, we enjoyed the peace of just laying in bed looking out into the rice fields or having some coffee or a drink on the patio. I would also highly recommend having the dinner, Putri and her cooking was absolutely wonderful, and boy was there plenty of it. :) Also, if you are into massages, you couldn't ask for a better massage than from Made's personal masseuse who will come to the home. Lastly, it was just great to meet all the lovely ppl during our stay and to meet the owner Kate, such a lovely lady. Overall, we loved saying at the Bennu House and would not hesitate to stay there again. I can say you would surely be missing out if you do not stay here while in Ubud. Looking forward to our next trip to Bali at Bennu.
Indeed it is the most lovely villa in Ubud, it is almost a dream home. The place looks exactly as advertised and kinda even better when you're there to inspect the fine details. The cleaning ladies did a great job, the place feels really clean :) There was a lovely terrace where we enjoyed a cuppa tea while painting & reading while watching the sunset. Do request for the inhouse dinner! It was easy to navigate on a bike to and from Ubud town, just the roads leading up to the villa is a little bumpy & steep. We did wish there was a pool, otherwise it's pretty perfect.
Wonderful! Made was there to greet us on our arrival and helped us feel right at home. The location was secluded and private and Made arranged for a scooter so we could easily get back and forth from town. The breakfast's were ample and delicious. Another lovely visit with Airbnb!
my wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon in bali after a recommendation from friends back in South Africa. we had high hopes for a great relaxing time and they we're well met! upon arrival we we're greeted by Philip & Made and had a good chat, both of whom are awesome guys! their scooter hire was cheap and easy & ubud centre was very accessible by scooter (about 7 minutes away..) was great to feel like you we're in the middle of know where but still be so close to the centre of town! we were well looked after by two of the local ladies who prepared amazing breakfasts and kept the house spic and span every morning :) we would highly recommend doing the Balinese diner through them! the food was AMAZING and there was plenty of it! shop around the city centre for taxi and tour prices as you'll find better prices there. barter a lot! hike mount batur (do the 2am pick up, it's worth it!), visit clear cafe & have their hot lava drink and eat there! it's amazing! get up to watch the sunrise over the rice paddies (and then head back to bed..) and make sure you get lots of massages in town, once again hunt for the good cheap ones :) over all we LOVED our stay at bennu house & would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in ubud!!
