About this listing
this place was renovated a few years ago, it has lots of light, 2 42' flat screens, internet, AC air filter and all kitchen amenities. The apt. is a pretty simple modern type. the east village has everything from diverse restaurants, lounges, walking distance to soho, tribeca, chinatown and little italy! lots of sidewalk cafes and a lovely local park (Thompkins Square Park) for very unique people watching and lots of local history. 5 subway stops to world trade center or 42nd st.
1 bedroom has a queen sized bed, the other room a trundle bed (2 twins) the living room also has comfortable letdown sofa. the rooms are not really large or too small. jusst rightt! Plus two unobtrusive cats for company! It has a warm, quiet homey feel to it!
It is 5 blocks from the F train which takes one 1 stop to soho, 2 stops to the west village, 5 stops to Mid-town, Macys, and a major shopping area, 6 stops to 4nd street and 7 stops to 5th Ave. and Central Park! You can also accomplish this on the M15 Bus which is 2 blks away going uptown to the same areas, you are just riding the bus and seeing the sights as you go along! Like all the 5th Avenue stores on the way up to the park!
Also the M9 bus is around the corner on Ave C it takes you downtown to Chinatown, Little Italy, (for great atmosphere and food!) City Hall, Brooklyn Bridge, Centry 21 (best designer discount shopping!), World Trade Center and finally Battery Park to see The Statue of Liberty! We are also in walking distance to little india, (1st Ave and 6th St.) if you enjoy something different. Hows that for convenient sight-seeing?
The place is unique in that it is a comfortable and quiet respite in a very diverse neighborhood.

Interaction with Guests
as much as they feel is needed. i like to introduce them to the apt, pets and area, think it makes us all more comfortable and i get to share in on some of their travel excitement!

Please take off shoes at front door and please no smoking or too loud music. please don't open the screen because of the cats. no pay per view, prefer not more than 4 people really. thanks a bunch!
Vejan made us feel very welcome. Our flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours and she stayed until we arrived without a problem. She gave us a list of local restaurants and shops and told us to call if we needed anything. The apartment was just the right size for the 3 of us. Very tidy and homey. We are animal lovers, so having her 2 cats stay with us was no problem. They were well behaved. The neighborhood was what we expected of the East Village, what I would describe as middle or working class. We routinely came back @ midnight and always felt safe.
The apartment is homely, and well located, but fairly small for 4 of us. Air conditioners were quite noisy. We had everything we needed, and it was easy to get around. Overall we were happy with our stay.
I am glad that my guests had everything that they needed. I am also grateful that people who sublet the place look after the cats as they don't really have any other place to go. I have lived here for quite some time so there are quite a few of my things. I am in the process of downsizing as my daughter is now in school. I do have 2 bedrooms so i list for 4 people. The above two reasons are why i list for such a low fee in this particular very trendy and expensive neighborhood.
What a great neighborhood and friendly host. We were 3 blocks or so from the f train which was great! The grocery was 2 blocks and there were restaurants and a deli a block away. I would recommend staying here!
Vejan and her daughter are very nice and friendly. They live in a great part of town and have a very nice apartment. Our overall experience was excellent. Would be happy to stay there again.
We liked Vejans apartment from the start. Enough space for us four and on The 6th floor with elevator. Vejan helped us with information about the neighbourhood and was a very nice host. Plenty of nice little restaurants nearby.
Vejan was very helpful and accommodating. Her cats were lovely and friendly and not demanding at all. We stayed very near the 2nd avenue subway stop which made it very convenient in terms of transport. She was also always quick to reply to any response I had! Would definitely recommend
Vejan is a kind host left us the useful maps, menu's clean towels. the house so cosy and it is in a very good location. She has two adorable cats which is the best i think :) The new york city was freezing but we make it for 4 days in Vejan's apartment in a hot cosy place. Thanks a lot.
