Description

The Space

The flat is just 30 metres from metro Basilica S.Paolo (2 minutes walk)!
The flat is on 9th floor (with elevator!), granting light and silence in downtown Rome

For you shared kitchen and bathroom, and a host to chat with

My flat is located in Basilica S. Paolo, South Rome, 30 metres (2 minutes on foot!) from "Basilica S. Paolo" metro stops (B line).
You will have a double-bed room, all for you or to share with your travelling companion. The room also has a shared bathroom with shower and washing machine you are free to use.

The flat is in San Paolo, student and residential area, yet full of shops. restaurants, pizza and gelato places!

The heart of Garbatella neighborood is only 10 mins away; there are several typical restaurants around. I advise you espercially "Ristorante San Paolo" and "La Mansarda", and in Garbatella "Er Grottino der Traslocatore" and l'"Acino Brillo" (good also for drinks).

If I am home and you like we can have a coffee or drink, or hang out in the city together. In any case you will have all the privacy you need.

The Area: industrial archaeology and popular tradition perfectly blend in the San Paolo/Ostiense district, which was an industrial area in the early years of the 19th century.

The Centrale Montemartini is close to here: opened in 1912, it was converted into an art museum for sculptures arriving from the Capitoline Museums. Still moving down along the Via Ostiense, the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls gradually unfurls before your eyes.

Arising among the buildings of Ostiense is the cylindrical Gasometro, a location which Film Director Ferzan Ozpetek has fondly adopted.

A metro ride and we have arrived at Garbatella, the youngest of the historic districts, built in the Twenties and made famous by Director and Actor Nanni Moretti's driving his moped through its streets in “Caro Diario". It is the perfect spot for a walk through the gardens encompassing small distinctive villas, buildings and historical sites such as the Palladium, once a cinema and today a theatre. House Rules

CHECK IN:
- Keep your MOBILE telephone on (the one provided to Airbnb) on the day of arrival and the day before.
- I need to know at what time you check-in and if there are any delays or problems.
- I work in weekdays 9-19 and might have plans in weekends, so we ALWAYS need to agree the terms and timing of your CHECK IN.
- Pls don't ask neighbours about my flat or the arrangements we have.

YOUR STAY:
- You are not allowed to bring strangers (meaning people different from who booked and the partner included in the booking, if any) in my flat or building.
- When you are in the flat, don't lock the door in any way from the inside, and don't leave the keys in the door. I got locked outside a couple of times. :)
- Don't leave on the lights, when you are not at home.

CHECK OUT:
- When you check out, you should leave the keys in the flat; you don't need those to exit my flat and the building:
- just shut the door of my flat behind you, that would be enough (no need to lock from outside on check out).
