The Space

This flat is for the fun loving city guys/gals out there as well as a base for country walks and English Hike's or even for work purposes. I am a 10 minute walk to the heart of Manchester and a 5 Minute walk into the Trendy Northern Quarter area with lots of funky bars and restaraunts. There is a Fab licensed Cafe named Vivid on the premises, local convenience shop at the bottom of the apartment block and an Aldi 5 minute walk from Apartment. Car Park next to building for 2GBP per day/3GBP for 24 hours. Full Unlimited Wifi/Broadband, Dishwasher, 42"Plasma TV with Sky package (movies), Blu-ray DVD Player, Suede Chaise Sofabed (sleeps two). Open plan Living-room/Kitchen with Dining area. Large bathroom with Shower over bath, Large stylish Double bedroom, Washer/Dryer Machine in hall cupboard. 14th Floor high in an Apartment Block B with it's own private communal garden area which permits BBQ's etc and even has hammocks and chairs/sofa's, great for chilling on a Sunday when feeling "delicate" from the night before! Great View of city from Bedroom and Living-room.

The one bedroom has a decent sized double bedfor two, the sofa bed can sleep 2 small persons comfortably or one adult nicely! Supplement is detailed.

My Apartment is homely but stylish, good for cooking in or eating out in the nearby city centre restaurants. Piccadilly Train/Tram Station is only 5 minute walk down the canal. This gives access to Chester for days out to the Zoo or shopping, Tram to see the wonderful Manchester United Grounds 15 mins away, Train to the Peak-District etc. I will soon have a tram stop 2 minute walk away, should be from Aug 2012. New Islington will be the Tram Stop name. Local Wildlife....Geese and Ducks in the canal next to the apartments! Nice for a stroll along the canal side wich actually leads up to the Manchester City Football Club grounds, 10 minute walk North. You can also walk 10 minutes and take the bus X55, to the Trafford Centre, one of Europe's largest, Beautiful shopping centre's.

There is a Pure Gym, 5 minutes walk at Urban Exchange shops next to aldi. You can get a day pass there if you are into that. it costs approx £5.

You will have a small wardrobe to use to hang clothes in as well which is a bonus as who wants to live out of a suitcase all weekend!/week.

I will ensure that basic provisions are in my flat for your arrival. You will have a welcome pack to ensure your stay is a good one with advise on all things Manchester!

Any general queries I will endeavour to respond to asap. Dates other than listed can be requested, I may be able to accommodate you, just ask.

  • Sam was a fantastic hostess. The flat was as described, nice and tidy. My wife and I were also so thankful that Sam left a few things in the fridge for us for when we arrived, and also had a portable cot set up for our 7 month old baby. Sam was also very accommodating when our dates of accommodation changed due to my work commitments.

The flat was a short 5-10 minute walk to Picadilly train station, with access to the rest of Manchester and England by rail and tram. Having an Aldi 5 minutes walk away, as well as an off-licence practically on the ground floor of the building for emergency provisions, was fanstastic and so handy.

While the place can get a bit warm during the summer and not too much wind flowing through the flat to cool the place down, we would certainly stay again and recommend this flat to anyone else looking for acoommodation in Manchester.

  • We had an amazing time staying at Samantha's apartment. It was clean, light, modern and had everything we needed - including an incredibly comfy bed. Sam was really helpful and friendly, a perfect host.
The café on the ground floor of the building was an added bonus, we had a couple of lazy afternoons sitting in the sun with a coffee watching the canal boats go by. Would definitely recommend this apartment, we're already planning our next visit!

  • Samantha's apartment was the perfect place you could have get. It is close vicinity to Manchester Piccadilly station and it is quiet as well.
Also, a good view from the stroll along the canal to the station.
What you see is what you get from the pictures and everything from checking in/out was perfect!

Thanks for the (website hidden): Gd breakfast at the ground level of the apartment!

  • Great flat! We drove and found it very easy to get to by car. After we arrived, we found no need for a car while we were there. It is a pleasant walk along the canal to the train station, northern quarter, and anywhere else you would want to visit in the city center. The flat was the perfect size for my husband and I, and had everything we needed. It has a modern vibe, which was nice. We did a lot of sightseeing, but when we were in the flat to take a break, my husband and I fought over the part of the couch with the foot rest. Sam was a wonderful Airbnb host and was very easy to reach if needed. Would definitely stay here again.

About
I am a fun loving, laid back, genuine gal. I love to travel thus available to rent my apartment which I love! It's my peace haven, my stylish hub to relax in after a long hard day at work with a glass of vino looking out at my lovely view with my I-pod cranked up (neighbours are cool!). I go to the Northern Quarter in Manchester a lot as I do like to socialise with friends and get out and about to local gigs. I love cooking and enjoy my open plan kitchen to chat with friends whilst cooking. I have sky with full film package as I do love a good film from an Action Thriller to a good ole chick flick, as long as it's not Marley and Me!!! My moto in life is to have an adventure each month so if that's packing up and visiting a random place for the weekend or even venturing (email hidden) another time then that is perfect for me. I would like to visit as many cities as possible through my life and since turning 30 I am having a challenge a year - living with a Tribe last year for 10 days, this year Ben Nevis and possibly do the penine way next year. Live life and have fun.
