Calm and convenient location

Guests say this area is peaceful and it’s easy to get around.
Enjoy a long weekend in charming downtown Tecumseh or use my home as an alternative to sky high Ann Arbor prices. Drive 40 minutes and save hundreds. Three day minimum at all times.
Historic with modern flair. Perfect for romantic getaways. A first class hotel room, deluxe shower, plus a fully equipped kitchen & living room. Walk to restaurants, winery, brewery. 25 m to Ann Arbor. 13 to MIS. 7 to Hidden Lake Gardens.
Decks for summertime dining and gardens filled with flowers.

The space
Modern design in a 150 year old duplex. The second floor is designed to be a four star hotel room with a queen bed, and adjoining bath featuring a great shower. All sheets are fine cotton covered with piles of feather duvets and pillows, Synthetic bedding options are available.

The artwork is on the theme of interesting women. about 1/3 is art fair type originals. Others just amuse me. I like living here and do block out some dates from Airbnb so I have time at home. Ask me to unblock.
TV with Chromecast so you can hook up your Netflix, or other streaming service to a 55," screen

Guest access
Guests can cook their own meals. Strong coffee and great bread is always on. Cereals or eggs for breakfast are stocked or there is a diner a block away. The back deck is quite nice for dining. the front also, but that is a shared space with the other side of the duplex.
All linens and towels are washed in a special two hour hot cycle with bleach. No fabric softener perfumes.

Other things to note
My house is a welcome respite for the traveler exhausted by colorless motels, white bread, and yellow cheese. Rest up and enjoy. Even if you do not have a reason to be in the area, travelers heading through Ontario, or across to and from Chicago, will like the American experience.
The kitchen is well equipped and you are free to use it. One couple made applesauce.
I lived overseas for 6 years playing rugby. We hosted a dozen exchange students so no matter what country you are from, you will feel welcome.

Neighborhood highlights

Quiet neighborhood only three blocks from restaurants, a winery, a brew pub, and ice cream. My house is 155 years old but completely modern. Most of my neighbor's houses are from that era. I both live and Airbnb this smaller side. For larger parties, the 3 bdr side is available or book both for a wedding weekend..

Tecumseh is an interesting small town with public art and walking trails. Squirrels chatter in the tall walnut trees. Neighbors smile, and share.

I'm an international minded person who has hosted many exchange students. I lived abroad in Commonwealth countries in my serious rugby days. From March until October my garden is bursting with flowers. Literally thousands of spring bulbs will appear starting in mid March. I feature always strong coffee, good wine and wonderful bread in my kitchen. A European traveling the Midwest will be grateful to find authentic bread. If i'm in town I'm happy to share experiences with you. I'm flexible though and can leave you to treat the home as your own. Scrabble is my competitive game now, Gardening, and the food preparation that follows are a joy. I've been surprised at the varied reasons that my guests have had for staying in Tecumseh. First time visitors have let me know that the activities here have surpassed their expectations.
