Would you like to stay in a former studio, warehouse, library, and antique shop? Then come stay with us at Baartje Sanders Erf, founded in 1687. In the heart of Gouda, on the first Fair Trade shopping street in the Netherlands, you'll find our picturesque and authentic cottage. Fully equipped with a lovely (shared) city garden. Step out the famous gate and explore beautiful Gouda!

The space
The Baartje Sanders erf is unique because it has existed since 1687! The tiny house is located at the end of the cozy (shared) garden. The garden is shared with the animals, us, and the other guests.

The tiny house is fully equipped. Fall asleep comfortably in one of the two double box beds (180x200). A box bed is a typical old Dutch bed.

The space also offers two two-seater sofas, a television (no streaming services), a dining table, a private kitchen, and a bathroom. The beds are made upon arrival, and kitchen and bath linens are provided.

The kitchen has a 4-burner electric stove, fresh herbal tea, and a stocked coffee bean machine.

Please note: There is a step to access the bathroom and toilet.

Guest access
You'll have the house to yourself, including your own kitchen and bathroom. You're also welcome to use the garden. Just be aware that our children sometimes enjoy dropping by to say hello. And perhaps the neighbors of Bed&Baartje Sanderserf, a "cottage in the city," might as well.

Other things to note
The Tiny house is located in the city center, in a shopping street, so you can't park in front of the door. However, there is the possibility of loading and unloading at certain times. Between 18:00-19:00

Paid parking is available in the center of Gouda. The nearest parking garage is Q-Park Bolwerk (address: Sint Mariewal 3). Daily rate is € 17, - This is less than a 5-minute walk. Paid parking is also available on the street. Paid parking from 9:00-24:00 and on Sundays from 12:00-24:00. This is often more expensive than a parking garage.
Parking place Klein Amerika and the Schouwburgplein has a daily rate of € 11.50 This is about an 11-minute walk.

Neighborhood highlights

Right in the center on the first Fairtrade shopping street in the Netherlands. At the end of the street you walk up to the Gouda market square with the famous and characteristic town hall from around 1450. In the direct surroundings you will find many nice shops, restaurants, churches and museums. Various activities and markets are organised on the market square in the spring and summer.

Opposite the yard in the shopping street is an organic supermarket, at the end of the street is the bakery, you can order a delicious breakfast. On the market there is a larger supermarket (Albert Heijn)
