The Little House on the Prairie is nestled in the heart of the Nebraska Sandhills. We are a mere ten minutes from the Calamus River and Calamus Lake (west end) which offers tanking, tubing, boating, and fishing. This is a birders paradise! Bald eagles, prairie chickens, and a plethora of other species to observe will be waiting out your window. Star-gazers will find our night skies free of light pollution. Nature awaits!

The Little House on the Prairie is situated in a unique ecosystem called the Sandhills. The house is in the country: 20 minutes to Taylor, 35 minutes to Burwell. The rolling hills will greet you each morning. Absolutely no traffic, no city noise, nothing but the sounds of nature. Hunting, fishing, and water activities are literally ten minutes away at the Calamus River, Calamus Lake, and Calamus State Recreation Area. Three breweries are within 50 minutes: Bootleg Brewers 20 minutes, Scratchtown in Ord 50 minutes, Kinkaider in Broken Bow 50 minutes. We like to say we are in the "Beer-muda Triangle"!
