About This Listing
Separate & Private Airstream in quiet beautiful Mill Valley. Completely redone immaculate 1969 Airstream, retro décor, all new, Cable, wi-fi. Minutes from San Francisco, wine country, beaches, hiking, golf, Muir Woods, golf, and great restaurants.
We added our "aluminum guest house" to our back yard with a 100 foot tall crane- up and over our 2 story house. We spent a year gutting it to the bare aluminum shell and then rebuilding it. Everyone pitched in, it was a 3 generation family project that turned out exactly as we envisioned it: A clean new modern space inside the iconic mid century Airstream silver bullet shape. It turns out to have very good fung shui and creates a peaceful, cozy feeling. We call it "The Haven." People always smile the moment they see it, and take pictures when they leave.
Our 1969 Airstream International is outfitted with guests in mind. Our back yard is quiet, green and private; with a beautiful deck, a bbq, tables and chairs. Inside is plenty of headroom, clean modern amenities, new plumbing, delightful 1969 Vintage décor. Designed to be a totally a comfortable space for travelers and visitors, we use spa-quality products for the full size shower, and the bedroom has a dream catcher, 2 reading lamps and 1000 thread count sheets on the exceptionally comfortable queen size bed. Guests have wi fi and Premium cable TV to enjoy, a universal cell phone charger and a lava lamp.
The kitchen is well equipped and all appliances are brand new and Retro Red. The dishes are vintage California pottery, and there are books about Airstream history. We leave a first morning breakfast for you, tea and Peet’s Coffee. There’s a folder with information about trails and nearby attractions as well as menus from many excellent restaurants in our area, delivered if you want to stay in cuddled up beside the “fireplace” (heater). Our “Haven” doesn’t travel any more but the unique Airstream experience here makes people happy. It is a perfect get away for celebration and romance, for rest or attending an event in the area, writing, reading, escaping, visiting family nearby.

Other Things to Note
We purpose built this space for guests, it is not lived in otherwise.
As responsible considerate guests.
Awesome hosts with an awesome atmosphere. Perfect for the traveler who plans to do Muir Woods or other north bay activities such as saulsalito, tiburon, or wine country. The weekend traffic going north through SF is terrible so a nights stay here made things just right. Highly recommend!
Love love loved the Airstream! Easily my favorite AirBnB thus far -- the details inside are fun and retro (especially the map-wallpapered bathroom!) As someone who is usually very go-go-go on vacation to see all the sights, etc, staying in the Airstream really had me slowing down and just enjoy being there -- I popped out for takeout, but otherwise hunkered down and just enjoyed the privacy and serenity. Would highly recommend a stay here and would love to revisit myself!
The Airstream was so cool! Just as pictured-- charming!
We had clear communication about our stay, easy access to the place and were greeted immediately by the host and given a key and a quick tour. There was a notebook with info about the property (tv, heater, etc), restaurant menus and folders for nearby attractions. We were delighted to find blueberry muffins, fresh raspberries, milk and organic yogurt in the little kitchen area, all ready for our breakfast.
The whole place was decorated with all the right retro modern touches and spotless throughout! We had a great stay. Also loved the proximity to Muir Woods!
Marsha and Floyd's accommodation is nothing short of amazing.
Such a unique place to stay near the Muir Woods.
From the start, communication was great. Right down to all the food recommendations Marsha gave me.
Floyd greeted us with a friendly smile upon arrival and showed us around.
Freshly baked mini muffins, organic raspberries and yogurt in the small refrigerator were for our stay.
We will definitely be back for more than just a one nighter. MAHALO!
The Retro Airstream was a dream come true. I took my Mom for a belated Mother's Day gift, and she adored every minute.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful labor of love! We adored all the amenities and I especially loved the map wallpaper!
Marsha went above and beyond to make our arrival and trip planning go smoothly and seamlessly! we absolutely LOVED the Haven & though we thought we'd settle in and drop our stuff off and then go out to explore muir woods or Mill Valley... we ended up PERFECTLY content to stay in our private and cozy little world. My sincere thanks to Marsha and the Family for accommodating us. It was PERFECT! We hope we are welcomed back some day. :)
There is no other word to describe this charming Airstream other than delightful. The whole experience was fantastic. Marsha and her family were warm hosts and no detail was overlooked. The space is compact but the design is very thoughtful (a standard roller board suitcase fits perfectly under the bed and the shower is surprisingly spacious). We were greeted with a plate of muffins, yogurt, berries, coffee and a french press for breakfast the next morning. Being a gracious host clearly brings Marsha a lot of happiness. She and her family are very good at it. Highly recommended!
