Right on the ocean in the heart of South Beach!
Our little seaside apartment on Ocean (email hidden) is in the midst of Miami's famed Art Deco District. It is in an absolutely ideal location in the trendy South of Fifth (SoFi) area.
Unlike most accommodations in South Beach, our apartment is directly on world famous Ocean Drive AND the Beach!!
There is some construction taking place at the front of the building at the moment weekdays from 8-5.
It is just a block's walk to the nightlife, shopping and restaurants of South Beach on Ocean Drive, but without the noise or the traffic. We are so fortunate (and you will be too!:) to be located on the ocean side of Ocean Drive. You can casually walk out of the building, past the pool and be right on the beach - which is quite a rarity in SoBe! You needn't even wear shoes, though we do recommend flip-flops if the sand is hot!
Note: The hallways were recently painted and new carpets installed, but there is still construction taking place at the front of the building, typically on weekdays from 8-5. There are also construction materials stored at the back of the building. Please be aware that due to the renovation there may be scaffolding, dust and construction activity in some parts of the building while you are here.
The front door may be closed for construction in January or February in which case access will be through the side doors. Beach access will not be affected.
We have for these reasons kept our rates reduced, we just don't want anyone to be surprised! Most people find the value at our place to be well worth it!
Interaction with Guests
We are always available by phone and email.
The swimming is marvelous, as the sandy beach has a gentle slope, with crystal clear water, that is luxuriously warm and soothing! During a good share of the year you can swim for hours without even getting a chill. It's wonderful to go for a swim a couple of hours before sunset, and then paddle around as you watch the spectacular play of ever-changing colors dappling the waves as the sun dips below the horizon.
There are terrific restaurants, clubs, and bars here, as well as wonderful designer shopping, and you'll be staying in the historic Art Deco District, in a secured and authentic Art Deco building. You are virtually next-door to the lovely and entertaining Lummus and South Pointe parks, as well as the world-famous and extremely cool Nikki Beach Club!
Buses are everywhere, as well as taxis and even a free south Beach shuttle.
Other Things to Note
Early check in or check out up to one hour may available on a case by case basis.
Notice must be given when making the reservation and owner must confirm acceptance. Any more than one hour will incur an additional $25 fee per ocurrance, and is available only if another guest is not arriving that day. We do ask that you are packed and your belongings are stored out of the way, as the housekeeper usually arrives shortly after 11 AM.
This is strictly a no smoking apartment!
Ted's place was nice and cosy. Location is perfect and there was no noise from bildings renovation. Ted is really nice and helpful person. We had really nice time there.
Ted was the perfect host during my stay! Although we didn't meet in-person, his response time was VERY quick to any question that I had.
I stayed for 10 nights during a very hectic business trip to Miami Beach and found his South Beach Studio to be the perfect place to unwind. The AC worked great, the unit was quiet; it couldn't have been a better experience. I would definitely recommend this to any traveler who would like to stay close to the beach and Ocean Drive restaurants and night spots. I will be back again next year and will be sure to check the availability of Ted's studio. Thanks so much!
My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights at Ted's place this November. The place was clean and Ted and Yulia were very helpful and got us parking permits which were much cheaper than using the public parkings. The place is small but we knew it was a studio so no surprise there! To be honest once you look at the beach and the rest of the area, it didn't matter. I knew we wouldn't be spending much time in doors.
The only complain I have is that the front and the back of the building were complete building sites. I was worried when we arrived that it would be very noisy but we couldn't really hear anything from the apartment itself. It would have been nice to have a heads up that the place was under construction. After arrival I checked the posting and there was a note about the renovation but it was definitely not there when I booked so a heads up would have been nice. The whole front of the building was covered in a black cover where the workmen were working.
Having said that we didn't let this ruin our stay but it would have been much nicer without the mess and noise.
Ted was awesome in getting us prepared for our stay. He did a great job of communicating with us and keeping us informed. He made us feel welcome and we enjoyed our time in the studio. It's conveniently located right on the beach and has a private pool which was awesome. The other inhabitants of the building were also very friendly. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a spot right on the beach in a convenient location that's easy to get around without a car.
The apartment is really nice, Well located. Real close to the beach and everything else.
I had a really nice experiencie here.
Totally recomend ted as a host.

I enjoy visiting the Caribbean and South America to keep things in perspective. Helps one realize how much we have while also reminding how little it takes for people to be happy.
