***************** "THE JEWEL OF DIAMOND HEAD"*****************
OCEANVIEW space usually rents for $125 / day + !3.75% tax = $142.
I do have 5 spaces on Airbnb. 2 Waikiki Grand Hotel and 1 Waikiki Marina and One Oceanfront 2 bedroom Home and One Private Art Gallery / Theater 2 bedroom Home.
As you enter the lobby decorated with colorful hawaiian flowers and spiritual buddha statues, you feel excited as you enter the newly installed elevators (2) which is trimmed in beautiful hawaiian wood. You are quickly transported on to the eighth floor. There you turn right and see unit #814, slowly open the door and see an unobstructed million dollar view of world famous Diamond Head. Walking out onto the lanai, you see the horizon, the best part of Waikiki beach, the many greens & blues of the ocean. Sailboats, sun worshipers, and a wonderful blue sky surround you and welcome you to your new home.
This Waikiki Treasure is a stone's throw away (less than 1/3 of a block) from the beach. NOTE: Kuhio Avenue & Ala Wai Blvd are quite a walk from the beach. Please click on "Street View" and compare with street views of other Airbnb properties.
The unit comes with large apartment refrigerator, microwave oven, 2 burner cooktop, flat black rock shower, Queen futon bed, large mirrored closet, split automatic air conditioner, 42″ flat screen television, utensils, plates, cookware, clean linens, beautiful designer sink (double duty) and plenty of Positive Energy !!! Reserved parking available for $15 / day
Laundry Facilities in the basement & 24 hour security for your safety.
IMPORTANT: This is a private studio (not shared). Beware Airbnb hosts that have a lower price but charge 13.9 % tax, extra charge for 2nd person and cleaning fees. This Waikiki Treasure includes all taxes, parking at $15 / day, 2nd person is free , however I do require a $100 fully refundable security/cleaning PLEASE READ HOUSE RULES.
Also realize the difference of views from the ACTUAL unit verses views of mere hotel lobby & generic tourist Waikiki Beach photos of other Waikiki spaces here on Airbnb.
Hula's Bar & Grill (2nd floor) and Teddy's Bigger Burgers (Lobby area) located in building. ABC Store next door for all your sundries and everything you forgot to bring. Starbucks on the beach (wifi) & the Zoo & Aquarium soooo close. Kapiolani Park which has special events is nearby too, next to the Zoo. In short you are in the best part of Waikiki.
IMPORTANT: I have 2 units and only one parking space. However, I can now make direct reservations with the Waikiki Grand for parking as a courtesy to my guests if my private parking is already reserved, it will be only $2 more / night.
EARLY CHECK IN: is not available if a guest is checking out on the day of your arrival. Early check in fee is $30. Please do not enter/leave luggage in room before it is cleaned. Room needs to be accessed (reviewed) after departing guests vacate & luggage impedes cleaning process.
LATE CHECK OUT: is available at 5 pm for $50. Late check out at 1 pm is available for $30. Please request this at time of booking.
Please do not book before updating your Airbnb profile and introducing yourself to the Airbnb community as we hosts like to know who our guests are. Thank you.

Waikīkī (/waɪkiːˈkiː/; Hawaiian: [vɐiˈkiːˈkiː] or [wɐiˈkiːˈkiː]) is a beachfront neighborhood of Honolulu, on the south shore of the island of Oʻahu, in Hawaii, United States. Waikiki is best known for Waikīkī Beach, the white sand beach shoreline fronting the neighborhood.
Waikīkī is home to public places including Kapiʻolani Park, Fort de Russy Military Reservation, Kahanamoku Lagoon, Kūhiō Beach Park, and Ala Wai Harbor.
Best way to get around in Waikiki is to walk and breathe the fresh ocean air. THE BUS is available for longer treks. If you are adventurous and want to see the as much as you can, I recommend renting a car.

This was our third stay his Waikiki Grand. We keep coming back! Staying at this property is a tremendous value as well as being very convenient to everything we want to do there in Waikiki. Of course the unit is very clean & well taken care of. Kurt is a great host and was, as usual, very accommodating. We arrived a bit early and needed to stay just a bit longer on our checkout day out due to a change in flight home - Kurt made that happen for us!
We use AIR BNB quite often throughout the year so I have a lot of hosts/properties to compare to - Kurt & The Diamond of Waikiki are right there at the top of our favorite list and that is why we keep coming back. I would highly recommend staying here at this property
Kurt's place was exactly as advertised: a nice, clean room with a beautiful view of the beach! In fact, it is literally a one-minute walk to the beach, and is within walking distance of the main strip in Honolulu. As for our hosts, Kurt and his assistant Irene were prompt with their replies to my questions and helpful with their advice. If you're looking for a relaxing, comfortable place in a great location with a fantastic view, then I highly recommend the "Diamond" of Waikiki Grand. My wife and I were completely satisfied and couldn't get enough of the view from the apartment. We had wanted a place that gave us peace of mind and found it at Kurt's!
#814 is a very special place! Here is everything you need e.g. in the kitchen and for the beach (beach chairs, towels). And the view from the balcony is really amazing - to Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park and Waikiki Beach! and only 5 min to the Beach! we will definitely come again!
Aloha and Mahalo to Kurt!
I appreciate how quick Kurt would respond to my email. The space was small but good for 2 people. Location was easy to find. It had the basic necessities we needed, no sink to wash dishes, though. The view was amazing, so close to the beach and bus stops. Overall, it was pleasant.
Kurt was an awesome host and makes it a point to be very responsive! I thoroughly enjoyed communicating with Kurt and his help facilitating me through the whole process was appreciated.
His place was clean and situated very close to the beach and at the area of Kalakua Avenue where all the shops, hotels and restaurants begin. Yet, it is still in a quiet location where you won't be disturbed from the hustle and bustle of this street.
The value you receive is definitely worth it.
Thank you Kurt!
One word: fantastic! All the amenities you would ever need... Parking, beautiful view from the 8th floor, AC, comfortable. Completely accessible and hassle free!
Kurt left me in the extremely capable and very welcoming hands of Irene. She was our source of communication.
I love how easy it was... My girlfriend and I absolutely LOVED IT. very reasonable for the location and not too buried in the hustle and bustle of Waikiki to be noisy... Just on the outskirts-diamond head in the distance and the Honolulu zoo down below. Perfect. I'll definitely come back!
We had a fantastic stay in Kurt's apartment. Kurt was away whilst we where visiting so his assistant Irene was around to ensure our stay went well. The location is great, easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and public transport which suited us well. I would highly recommend Kurt's apartment and we hope to be back again soon.
