Nestled in Treasure Beach on the South Coast of Jamaica, Calabash House is an intimate vacation destination featuring lots of extras. The House & Cottages are located directly on the Caribbean Sea. Our guests enjoy the best swimming beach in the area. Older locals refer to our location as "the sweetest little corner in Treasure Beach" and we think you will agree! Calabash House is 5 to 7 minute walk to local restaurants and bars. Treasure Beach is local community based tourism destination.

The space
The SEASIDE COTTAGE is a little slice of heaven nestled among fragrant flowers, overlooking the luscious mango trees, and only steps away from the Caribbean Sea. With a queen bed and hammock on the covered veranda, this is a fabulous place to relax at a very reasonable rate. The Seaside Cottage sleeps 2 people The cottage has its own bathroom ( toilet & sink), but shares an outdoor heated shower with the other cottages. The outdoor shower has HOT water. The cottage has a digital safe that is the perfect size for passports and extra cash. The Seaside cottage is part of the Calabash Guest House and Cottages property. The cottage has it's own private entrance.

Guests have the option of dining on property with meals prepared by Suzett, our wonderful cook. For a reasonable price, she will shop for you and make you the most mouth watering, fresh breakfasts and dinners. Breakfast is $12 usd per person. Breakfast includes coffee, fresh fruit, fresh juice, and the main course (American or Jamaican) Dinners range from $15-Chicken, pork or beef $18 -Fish, & $20 for Lobster. Food in Jamaica is the best in the Caribbean, with local caught seafood and jerk specialties being among the favorites. Please inquire when making a reservation.

-Each room in the Main Guest house offers A/C, but it is an ADDITIONAL CHARGE. $10 per day charge that you pay at the time of your stay. Cottages do not have A/C.

Treasure Beach, Jamaica

Treasure Beach is the "home of community tourism" in Jamaica. This is a user-friendly neighborhood comprised of a string of sleepy fishing villages located off the beaten track.

There are many small restaurants and bars within walking distance all with fabulous food & some with live music including Jake's and Jack Sprat.

We are one of the fun places to stay for the famous annual Calabash Festival and Little Ochie Seafood Festival, or any event taking place at the Sports Park, the entrance to which is right across the street.
