I live with my 18 year old daughter who is studying,
I have an older daughter travelling in India we have a cat.
We love travelling, healthy food, music,( I dj once a month)
We have wifi, 2 toilets, one bathroom, with a shower and bath, and lovely small garden. . .
The kitchen could be used to make light meals, tea and coffee provided but not breakfast, there is an Italian deli just around the corner that sells fresh croissants and pastries, and several supermarkets nearby.
If this room is unavailable for the dates you wish to stay please look at my double room( there is a small fridge in the double room and tea and coffee making facilities).
We prefer to have female guests.
Guests have access to the kitchen, garden and obviously the bathroom and 2 toilets.
Please keep in mind that it is a room in a private house and not a hotel ( and not hotel prices either!)so using the shower or washing machine should not be either really late at night or really early in the morning when people may be sleeping.
Only guests who have booked to stay in our home may stay in our home, I do not want to be bumping into a stranger, in my house coming out of the bathroom ,if a guest wishes someone to visit during their stay this can be discussed, there is an additional charge for any extra guests.
Our preferred guests are those who will be out sightseeing or at work, or job interview, or conference and not in the house all day!
Light use of the kitchen is fine , just clean up afterwards ( all our guests so far have)
The washing machine can be used free of charge once a week.
Bookings only taken from guests who have information about themselves and a photo on their profile.
Shirley was an awesome host, I got a free upgrade of sorts to a double room which was awesome. Although my stay was cut short by me thankfully getting my own place Shirley was very welcoming and warm during my time. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a room in london for a while
I really enjoyed staying at Shirley's. She was very accommodating and let me keep my bicycle in the hallway. Shirley & her other lodger were both very friendly and I would recommend this airbnb to others. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed (desk, drawers & bed)
Shirley was a wonderful host, and very accommodating, even with my last minute changes to flight schedule! Alfie the cat is also very sweet. The room is just as described, in a lovely neighbourhood. I found the location worked really well for having a look around central London, as well as some of the district areas. Public transport was easily accessible with both Streatham Hill overground, and Balham Station close by. Will definitely stay here if I find myself in London again.
A lovely stay as always with Shirley. The room is cozy and comfortable and the house is in a great location. Highly recommended!
My stay was lovely and with Shirley's kind welcome I found London's nearby markets much closer to the nearby tube! I really wished I could have extended my stay past three days. I rarely got the chance to see Shirley, but she made me feel right at home when I stepped inside. The room was thoughtfully prepared with a towel, water boiler, and a small selection of teas or coffee. The bedroom was right around the corner from my own at home!!
I enjoyed my stay at Shirley's house. She is a great hostess and the house is lovely. My room was very well presented and very warm as well. I will definitely stay at this accommodation if I need and I will recommend it to anyone might be looking for somewhere to stay in Lonfon.
