Please keep in mind that this suite requires the use of stairs.

The space
JTH Tucson is a small inn lovingly nicknamed Posada, immersed in nature and available for overnight stays. The inn is made up of six private suites as well as over 5,000 sq ft of communal areas for all guests to enjoy. The unique nature of this inn allows us to offer self check-in for a private and immersive experience, while also having an on-site manager available for any questions or assistance you may need during your stay. Your private suite is designed to feel like home upon check-in, and to further that concept you’ll find that this is not a place with a “front desk” or a laminated binder of rules upon arrival. We are so grateful to welcome guests for a relaxed experience here in the Sonoran desert, a place our small team of three also calls home.

Our rural location borders the west side of Saguaro National Park in Tucson, AZ. Situated on 40 acres of land with a forest of Saguaro cactus, native plants, and an abundance of wildlife, this is a space to reflect, reset, and create.

Guest access
Guests staying in the Ocotillo suite enjoy full access to all communal areas at JTH Tucson, including:

- A chef’s kitchen and dining patio with charcoal grill

- A canyon pool (solar heated, best May–September)

- Hot Springs style tub heated to around 100°F

- Rooftop lounge, yoga room, walking trails with a labyrinth, and living room with projector

- Fire pit with complimentary firewood

- Bath House add-on with Sauna, Cold Plunge & Outdoor Shower

These shared spaces are designed to foster quiet connection—with nature, with yourself, or with those you travel with.

During your stay
Our on-site manager will be available throughout your stay to help answer any questions, and make your stay enjoyable!

Other things to note
Upon check-in, you’ll find a light in-room breakfast with local teas, coffee, almond milk, and gluten-free nut-based granola.

We recommend picking up groceries in Tucson before arrival to make use of the chef’s kitchen and remote setting.

Private chef experiences, in-room massages, and other vendor recommendations are available after booking.

If you’re interested in booking the entire inn, please contact us.

For commercial photoshoots or events such as elopements or weddings, please reach out in advance, as separate pricing applies.

An incidental fee of $250/room per night may be charged for group stays of three or more rooms booked individually, to maintain the quiet and restorative nature of the inn.

Neighborhood highlights

We imagine most guests will want to stay on site at the inn to experience the pool, wildlife, movie nights, cactus garden, rooftop patios, and starry night sky. Though, if you’re up for more adventures we’d definitely recommend heading to the west side of Saguaro National Park (which the Posada property borders), the Desert Museum (also less than 10 mins away), Old Tucson, Gates Pass, and the city of Tucson itself (about a 30 min drive away). The city is filled with charming indie shops and amazing food (Tucson is the only city in the US classified as a UNESCO city of gastronomy).

We're designers who have fallen in love with creating spaces for others to reflect, reset, and create. We split our time between two deserts (the Mojave, and the Sonoran). We love the way the heat sinks into our bones, the vibrant sunsets, and the wildlife we get to call our neighbors.
