They were very welcoming, perfect location to explore ashland by foot! We had a great time, apt was cozy and allowed us to bring our dog which was great.
This is a great little apartment! Close to everything, walk to the great shops, enjoy Lithia Park, and take in a show. The location is perfect, you can be back "home" from the theater or dinner in just a few minutes walk. We will definitely come back and I will suggest it to friends!
Diane & David's place is perfect! So close to the main plaza, easy to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. Apartment does have low ceilings (we are under 6ft and were fine) and a small shower, but is indeed vintage charm. It's fully equipped (hair dryer!) private and the bed is crazy comfortable.
My husband and I took in 8 plays during our 5 days in Ashland. We stayed at Diane and David's basement apartment. It was just right for what we needed. We parked the vehicle and left it for 5 days and walked to the theaters, restaurants, and shopping. Perfect. The space was quiet and very comfortable. It was one of the best nights sleep we have had outside of our own home. Both were very gracious hosts. Thank you Diane and David!
We had a lovely stay in this sweet apartment. We had everything we needed and more and really enjoyed our weekend in Ashland. Our hosts (and the dog) were lovely and Ashland was charming as always!
Smoke-filled (forest fires nearby) drive south from Grants Pass gave us apprehension about our timing to see our chosen play in the outdoor Shakespeare Elizabethan Theatre--and in fact it was cancelled one hour prior to opening BUT we could not have felt any more graciously and comfortably hosted. The apartment was attractive, bed and seating soft and welcoming and bath and kitchen very thoughtfully stocked. It was an ideal base from which to park the car and wander Ashland, enjoying it's excellent restaurants and shops.
Diane and David are great hosts! They even left a little outdoor lantern on for me the night I went to the theatre and forgot to leave the outside light on! So thoughtful
This is a great place for a single, or a very "cozy" couple. A couple minutes walk and you are at right in downtown...never used my car my entire stay.
And finding out about Organic Nation gin and vodka was an extra perk.
Diane and David were great hosts, and we had a great getaway to Ashland. Saw some fantastic plays, had some great food (with some great pointers from our warm and gracious hosts), and were very comfortable in the cozy basement suite, which had absolutely everything we needed. And we walked everywhere--did not drive the car until it was time to leave! Thank you for everything Diane and David, we hope to be back.
My sister and I stayed at Diane's lovely apartment for 3 days. We've been going to Ashland for 6 years to see plays at the Shakespeare Festival and never have we had such a convenient place to stay -- just blocks from the Plaza and theaters. We were spoiled!
The apartment is small, but cozy, and Diane is a wonderful hostess. She was very flexible with our arrival time. And on our last day, she brought us some samples from Organic Nation, the distillery that she and her husband own and operate.
Sweet daylight basement apartment - cozy and comfy - with everything we needed. Definitely not for the tall types as the ceilings are low - but since I'm undertall myself, it wasn't an issue! We loved their little dog and D&D were great hosts. Easy walk to the Shakespeare Festival, downtown shops and Lithia Park.
