This is one of the few places in the area with a pool.
Fully renovated in 2026, Villa Playa is one of the few large villas on the Costa del Sol set directly on the seafront, with breathtaking panoramic Mediterranean views.

A gate from the communal garden leads straight to the beach and coastal boardwalk. Sleeping 12 across six en-suite bedrooms, the villa offers a spacious open-plan living area, a large saltwater pool, a private garden with BBQ, several furnished terraces and outdoor dining for 12—ideal for days and evenings by the sea.

The space
Fully renovated in 2026, Villa Playa is arranged over three floors and enjoys panoramic beach and Mediterranean Sea views from its terraces and main living spaces.

The villa accommodates up to 12 guests across six bedrooms, all with their own private en-suite bathrooms.

GROUND FLOOR

The ground floor has three en-suite bedrooms, each furnished with twin beds.

This level also provides direct access to the villa’s entrance, driveway and outdoor areas.

FIRST FLOOR

The spacious open-plan living area is positioned on the first floor to make the most of the spectacular sea views. It includes:

-A fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar
-A main dining area with a large dining table
-A comfortable lounge with two large sofas and additional seating
-A second dining area with a round table seating four to six guests
-A separate cloakroom toilet

Large sliding doors open from the dining area onto the first-floor front terrace, which has outdoor seating and spectacular views across the gardens and Mediterranean Sea.

There is also one en-suite bedroom on this floor.

SECOND FLOOR

The second floor has two further bedrooms, both with private en-suite bathrooms.

To the rear is a large terrace with generous outdoor seating for a group, making it an ideal place to relax together and take in the panoramic coastal views.

At the front of the property, the second-floor terrace also has seating and spectacular views towards the sea.

PRIVATE OUTDOOR AREAS

To the rear of the villa is a private garden with an outdoor kitchen, BBQ and sink.

The garden also has a pergola with integrated lighting and an adjustable louvred roof. The slats can be opened or closed to provide sunshine or shade as required. Beneath the pergola is a large outdoor dining table with seating for 12 guests.

Several terraces provide additional places to sit, dine and enjoy the views, while more than ten sun loungers are available for relaxing in the garden or beside the pool.

PARKING AND ACCESS

The villa is reached by a small access road leading towards the beach. Large electric gates open onto a secure private driveway with parking for two cars.

POOL AND BEACH ACCESS

Villa Playa forms part of a small and peaceful community comprising the villa and six smaller houses.

The villa’s private garden opens directly onto the communal gardens, where guests have access to a large saltwater swimming pool, outdoor showers and grass lawns ideal for sunbathing.

A gate from the communal gardens provides direct access to the beach and coastal boardwalk. The boardwalk extends for approximately 8 km along the coast, connecting La Cala de Mijas with Cabopino.

We provide bed linen and bathroom towels for up to 12 guests, together with separate beach towels for outdoor use.

Guest access
The villa has a private driveway with secure parking for two cars, accessed through a large entrance gate.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire villa and its private garden. They also have full access to the communal gardens and saltwater swimming pool, which are shared with residents of the six neighbouring properties.

PLEASE NOTE: As of July 2026, the electric gate motor is awaiting repair. The gate remains fully usable but must currently be opened and closed manually.

Other things to note
Villa Playa forms part of Calypso Playa, a very small beachfront community originally built in the 1970s, when it was still possible to build directly beside the sea.

The community consists of six small two-bedroom houses and the villa, which sits within its own private garden. Many owners have kept their homes here for decades, and people who discover Calypso Playa rarely want to leave.

The villa itself is jointly owned by several of the neighbouring homeowners, who look forward to welcoming you as a temporary member of their community during your stay.

I don't live in Spain but I've been holidaying here in our small community since my parents bought one of the beach houses within the community gardens in the 1970s.
