This distinctive holiday apartment occupies an extremely central position in Rome - 600 metres as the crow flies from St Peters Square (800 metres by foot). The studio apartment (attic penthouse) is located on the top floor of an upmarket apartment block in the Prati quarter of Rome. It features a private and partly coverable balcony, affording fantastic views.
The studio is decorated in a very minimal style and the ceiling is somewhat low and sloping at certain points. Nonetheless, it is perfect for couples wishing to visit and spend time in Rome, benefiting from a central position with views over the Roman skyline, and with the dome of St Peters Basilica as a backdrop.
The apartment is on the sixth floor and can be reached via a small lift. After the lift, its just a few steps further up to the apartment.
There is a wealth of shops, restaurants and bars close at hand, easily reached by foot. Underground stop Ottaviano-San Pietro (line A) is also in the vicinity.
The house can equally be reached with ease from Rome Fiumicino Airport, either by train or underground
Attention: due to the interior, the accomodation is not suitable for young children.

This was a clean apartment in the centre of Rome. Very central to everything, we caught the open top (hop on, hop off) bus for which the stop was only a couple of blocks away. Simonetta kindly printed out our tickets for us when we bought them online. She even made sure we had umbrellas when the weather turned bad one afternoon. I hit my head on the low roof a few times and we did have some issues with the hot water in the shower. If you are looking for an affordable apartment close to the city this was ok.
Great small apartment near the Vatican in Rome. Very safe neighborhood with high-end shopping, a 10-minute walk to the metro, and good cafes and groceries nearby. The kitchen is simple but very useful--there's a two-burner stove, utensils, plates, and pots and pans for cooking. The breakfast nook is wonderful to sit at, and the table out on the terrace is fantastic for nice days. The heat is sufficient for winter visits. The vaulted ceilings in the bathroom can be a bit awkward, and the shower, toilet, and hot water heater could use an update, but it was a small trade-off for the excellent location. Also, Simonetta was extremely nice--she answered our questions about the neighborhood and even gave us a bottle of champagne for the New Year's holiday.
We had a great time in Rome during our stay at Simonetta's apartment. It was awesome to have a rest on the terrace on the roof especially in shiny days. Simonetta, thank you, good luck! Alla.
We liked our stay in Rome soo much, the apartment is very cosy and is great-located: you can reach all main sightseeings by foot and enjoy the fabulous view on the Vatican in the evening. The apartment is perfect for a couple: not lagre, but still very spacey. And the great terrace is just perfect. Simonetta was a very helpful and prompt host: we had no problems at all in finding and reaching her when we arrived and left, she helped us by showing closest shops and supermarkets, advising what-to-see and what-to-do.
Thank you, Simonetta!
From Russia with love :)
Simonetta did not only give us a warm welcome, but also tipped us on the best way to get from the airport to the apartment, where to find a supermarket and so on.
The apartment is situated very nicely close to the Vatican, bus connections and the metro. As described on the website the apartment is not big but everything you need is there. The ceiling in part of the apartment (bathroom) is quite low, what can be uncomfortable for long people (I am >1,90). The terrace is large and a great bonus with the apartment.
For us a very pleasant stay that we will never forget.
Simonetta, thank you!
Lovely hostess, with a very helpful husband. Views are as advertised, and even better during the evening sunset. Simonetta's husband helped with the awning which made a beautiful outside dining area. The location is incredible, the building beautiful, the apartment quite comfortable, and the hospitality outstanding. Our visit to Rome could not have been better! Thank you
The location of the apartment is fantastic, it is so close to not only the Vatican but also the center of Rome. It is also a delight to come back to the apartment after a day of sight seeing and relax on the extremely large terrace with a glass of wine. There is an international store on the corner that does great coffee for only 0.90 Euro Cents as well as great local Italy produce and many items from around the world. The other bigger supermarket is less than 500 meters from the apartment. I would also recommend to go to Dolce Maniera for delicious breakfast filled pastry items for less than 0.40 Euro Cents (it is just past the Ottaviano San pietro metro Stop on Via Ottaviano) but it is worth the walk.
Simonetta is a great host. She had chilled water on arrival and spent the time to show us a where supermarkets where and also some great restaurants to eat.
There are some lower beams in the kitchen and bathroom, which may be an inconvenience to some, but we had no issue with this at all.
I would highly recommend staying at Simonetta's apartment and if we are ever back in Rome we will certainly stay here again.
