About This Listing
Surrounded by beautiful history and nature, our house is Bunratty’s traditional and themed Irish Bed and Breakfast. Just opposite Bunratty Castle and five minutes from the historic and picturesque village of Bunratty with its sights, shopping, bars and restaurants, including the world famous Durty Nelly’s and Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. We've a great location and you can actually see Bunratty Castle itself from the front foor and bedroom windows.
We offer deluxe accommodation, home cooking, a great range of attractions and activities and the benefit of our local knowledge whether your trip be for business or pleasure. Our total capacity is 24-30 people.
We pride ourselves on our personal touch. We are definitively not a hotel, we are a family oriented B&B that work hard to make sure you have an amazing stay with.
Our breakfasts are included in the price and we offer the full continental spread, including tea, coffee, homemade scones, bread and irish soda bread, cheeses, meats, cereals, jams, etc. We are also more than happy to supply a full cooked Irish breakfast for a small extra charge, which is payable locally.
We also do evening meals that guests are more than welcome to join in on and we love nothing more than sitting around with our guests and having a good blether.
We also like to offer our guests a free cup of tea and some scones and jam when they arrive as we want you to know how welcome you are in our home.
At the Bunratty Castle Mews no request is too big and we will work hard to meet any special requirements you may have. We have staged family reunions and special events, we have dressed rooms for Valentine's day in the past for example, with flowers and petals.
We have also organised traditional Irish marriage blessings in the local church for those looking for a fun and meaningful way to engage in the local culture. We have even staged a celtic wedding.
We're always open to new experiences and new ideas. If you have something interesting that you want to use our bed and breakfast for then please just message me and we'll see what we can work out!
We sometimes have evening entertainments in the house itself, including a traditional story teller (shanakey). There are also really warm, authentic local pubs as this is not just a tourist area. At Durty Nelly's, our local pub, you will meet real locals (often whether you want to talk to them or not!)

Absolutely lovely b&b. Directions were very helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. She went the extra mile with small details in the rooms. Highly recommend.
We so enjoyed our brief stay with Dolores. She is a host extraordinaire. She runs a lovely guest house that is nicely situated for a tour of Bunratty Castle and easy access to Shannon airport.
