Description

The space

Private bedroom in renovated two bedroom apartment located in the center of Williamsburg! The apartment is close to the Marcy stop on the JMZ and to either Bedford or Lorimer on the L. You'll be sharing the apt with me!

One bedroom in two bedroom apt in the south side of Williamsburg! The apartment is close to the Marcy stop on the JMZ (Soho, LES, West Village) and to either Bedford or Lorimer on the L (Union Square, East Village, Chelsea plus transfers uptown to Central Park and Times Square) train.

There is natural, diffused light through the apartment, your room has a large windows, a full sized bed and a built in closet. The kitchen is small, but the appliances are all new, and there is space to eat and prepare in the dining area. The bathroom has a deep tub. The living room is open with mid-century wooden furniture, and a breakfast nook looking onto South Second Street.

The neighborhood contains some of the best restaurants in Williamsburg and cool boutiques, bars, clubs, and grocery shopping. Close by is Caracas restaurant, M Shanghai, Rye, Walter Foods, Diner, Marlow and Sons, Nini's wine store, C-Town and Food Town grocery stores, Grand Relax for a massage and manicure, Nail It salon, acupuncture, Brooklyn Bowl, 24 hour shopping at Mr. Pina on Havemeyer. Music venues are in walking distance; Williamsburg Music Hall, Glasslands, Chromeo. Plus you can walk to the Williamsburg bridge, Lower East Side, East Village, Soho... everything!

If you prefer to take coffee outside Northerly is a block away. I also love; Black Brick Coffee, Gimme! and Oslo.

Kitchen, living, wifi, speakers, bath. Breakfast: granola is on top of the fridge, coffee and tea are in the cupboard above the fridge as well. Milk is inside, dishware/glassware is above the kitchen sink. Plus a full bar in the living room, have a drink!

I'm super busy as most New Yorkers are! I'm always happy to make recommendations and help with directions, text, call, email.

Sevilla, Caracas, Williamsburg cinema, nitehawk theater, Stella Dallas living, 10 ft Single, joinery, Rabbits vintage, post office, st. Mazie's, the flat, st. Anselm, commodore, daily press, 66 hope, m shanghai, bozu, whisk, Bedford cheese shop, maison premiere...

If you have a smart phone download "NYC Kicklite subway map" and maps. The Marcy Ave JMZ train and the Lorimer L train and the Metropolitan G are all very close.

Gingers place was perfect! Highly recommended. It's cosy and compact, but tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The location is perfect for those looking to stay away from the tourist traps and experience the quirks of Williamsburg. Thank you Ginger for being so friendly and also for the advice you gave whilst I was there.

ginger understands hospitality. the apt is a basement unit and the entrance to it was a little swampy after some solid rain. however once you entered her unit, it was wonderful. the apt was charming and so well-equipped with nice towels, toiletries, etc. we slept well too. i bring my pillow wherever i go, but she had nice pillows too! the location is superb... close to restaurants, stores and particularly subway. we happily walked to manhattan as the williamsburg bridge was such a short distance away. we brought our bikes and she offered 2 options for storage which was great. we would definitely stay at ginger's again.

Ginger's apartment was great. Cozy, clean and well-located (five mins away from the subway and just one station away from Manhattan). Situated in a really nice neighbourhood with lots of nice spots and services (cafés, restaurants, supermarket around the corner...). Active neighbourhood, but situated in a quiet and street. I loved the market, the views towards Manhattan and the streetart in the neighbourhood. She was always friendly and helpful, giving nice advice and even letting me use her laptop to format my SD card. Highly recommended!

Ginger's place is wonderful. Very nice cozy room, plenty of room for your stuff. Amazing shower in the bathroom, Ginger made sure to have fresh towels every day. She even provided coffee, tea, and other nice little amenities that made it feel like I was waking up in my own home. The location is also very convenient - located in the most happening neighborhood in Brooklyn, while being only one stop on the subway away from Manhattan. I would reccomend staying here to e everyone. Thanks again Ginger!

Ginger and her apartment exceeded our expectations. She was an excellent host who treated us like friends from the first day. She even offered for us to share pizza and wine with her and her boyfriend on a cold and rainy night. We really felt welcomed the whole time. Communication could not have been better, and she was always helpful with recommendations on all the best spots nearby. The apartment was very clean and well decorated. She was even making improvements while we were there. The bedroom was the perfect size for the two of us. There can be a bit of noise from the outside since the window faces the street, but Ginger provided earplugs in case you need them. The bathroom was very nice and modern with a private feel. The apartment is very convenient to the subway, so getting around the city is a breeze. However, you don't even need to leave the neighborhood to find a great spot eat, drink, or be entertained. We highly recommend a place called Onomea just a few blocks away for some amazing Hawaiian food. Overall, everything was perfect! If we get a chance to come back to NY, we wouldn't even think about staying anywhere other than ingefära hus!
