This was my second stay at Penny's and i would definitely come back. Her responses are very quick, the communication is great, the location is absolutely in the middle of everything you need in Manhattan. The apartment was spotless and, as before - spacious, cosy and a real "home away from home". Thanks very much for your hospitality Penny, it's a pleasure to be your guest.
This was my third stay with Penny. As always, it was fantastic in every way. Along with providing a very comfortable, home away from home, place to stay, she's so generous with her extensive knowledge of NYC. She knows so much about the city in ways you won't find out about in guidebooks or web sites. Thanks Penny!
Lachie and I stayed with Penny for 2 great weeks. In that time she was a very accommodating & helpful host. The apartment was clean, warm and only a 3 minute walk to Lexington station!! We felt very safe and would happily stay with Penny again.
I had an amazing time in NY. Penny's flat was well located and very comfortable. Penny was welcoming, considerate and helpful.
Penny was a terrific host, welcoming and communicative. She has a busy life in New York but made time to chat when I wanted that and left me alone when that was appropriate. She made French Press coffee every morning, and fed me the final morning--wonderfully welcome but unexpected. She helped me find local bus stops and made practical suggestions. There's a building elevator and helpful doormen. Subway (Lex) 3 blocks, crosstown bus 2 blocks.
Penny is a very lovely person, and a SURVIVOR. Her house is clean, calm and nicely decorated. The location is just great. It was only a 15 min walking to the UN building. I will definitely advise all my friends to stay there during their visits to New York. And I really hope to meet Penny again. Chantal :)
Penny is the best! This is my second stay with Penny and it was wonderful in all respects. Penny goes out of her way to help you with anything you need during your stay. Her place is really comfortable, like a home away from home. She's a lovely person with a great sense of humor. Thanks Penny!
Penny was a terrific host; this really is a serene oasis. She was so considerate - a glass of water and chocolate on the nightstand when I got back the first night; coffee in the mornings; all her advice about places to see, travel time to different places, and getting into the MoMA - I felt quite welcomed to the city. The bed is comfortable, the shower is excellent, the house is warm (but not stifling). There are lots of great places to eat nearby, and there are two subway stops on Lexington about equidistant from the apartment. I never really mastered the bus system, but there are a bunch of bus stops handy, too. I say again: Penny is a terrific host, and you'll love staying with her.
I had a wonderful experience. The place was clean and roomy and had all the amenities I needed. Penny is also a great host to have. Definitely check it out!
Penny is a vivacious and fascinating hostess, and her flat manages to be both immaculate and comfortable. Location was ideal for me - an easy walk to the UN. Good range of shops and restaurants nearby. I had a great time and would go back in a heartbeat.
