My wife and I arrived before our host was home. She left the key with the doorman so our arrival was smooth. The apartment was clean, tastefully decorated, comfortable, and in an excellent location. Penny was an excellent source of information providing tips, travel info, maps. The bed was comfortable. In sum, we had a wonderful time in NYC and now know exactly where we will stay on our next visit.
I had a wonderful time in NYC and staying at Penny's was one of things that made my first travel to the city an unforgetable experience. I was in her apartment for 4 nights. The apartment is very spacious (more than it looks like in the pictures), very clean and tastfully decorated. The bed is comfortable and the closed is well equiped and has enough room for keeping all belongings organized. The bathroom and the kitchen have also well equiped. I was very comfy in being around. The location is very good, with a lot of restaurants, gorcery stores, pharmacies and a metro station nearby.
Penny made me feel at home. We had some very interesting convesations and she really helped me enjoying the city, giving some great tips of places to visit. She knows a lot about the museums and their collection and made very good suggestions about the exposions.
I would certainly stay there again.
This was my first experience with Airbnb, and staying with Penny exceeded my expectations. She is welcoming, flexible, helpful, and gracious. Her apartment is quiet, comfortable, and convenient. I will definitely be back there and in other Airbnbs in the future.
Penny's place on Manhattan is, as all reviewers before me wrote, just perfect. It is very clean, Penny is very nice and the location in Midtown is great and very close to the subway on 53 St. and Lexington (this is especially convenient if you arrive from JFK on a train E). I would not hesitate to book my stay at Penny's again and I hope I will have a chance to come back to this great city soon.
Penny is the consummate hostess … charming, welcoming, and generous. She made me feel at home from the get-go; and didn't even mind my spreading out all of my work materials on her dining room table.
Her apartment is also lovely - clean, beautifully furnished, and conveniently located. .
Would love to visit again.
My stay with Penny was great! She is an awesome host. Very friendly, welcoming, energetic and fun. Her place is so cosy and well laid out. The bed is very comfortable and the place is really clean and organized. My overall experience there was amazing. I enjoyed staying there and enjoyed our small talks. She made me feel very comfortable and at home. The location is also very good as it is a walking distance from so many attractions and good places to hangout. I will be aiming to stay there again for my next trip to New York, no doubt.

About the Host, Penny
I am from Alabama and Louisiana originally but adopted New York City when I moved here ( as soon as I could after finishing college at University of Alabama). I love this city - the diversity, the banquet of arts, the energy and the embrace by New York of all cultures. My interests go to the arts - both fine and applied. And I love having people over.
