Liberty is a classic twin masted traditional sailing yacht with all the amenities of a small apartment. A cozy summer or winter retreat. The atmosphere aboard is warm, romantic and truly unique. She has been lovingly restored over the past 6 years.
Liberty is a fully restored Tayana 37 sailing ketch and is nestled in the shadow of the historic Quinns lighthouse restaurant/pub in the quaint gardens of Embarcadero Cove marina with free parking available. Less than a mile from the Mom and Pop stores, bars and restaurants that line the beautiful streets of Alameda. Under 2 miles in the other direction will find you in the Downtown historic Oakland area. The yacht has a wonderful outside cockpit area which is great for enjoying wine, listening to music, watching the sunsets or just enjoying a morning coffee. The interior is lavished with fine teak, brass lamps and cozy seating, making it a memorable atmosphere unique only to a sailboat. There is a full galley with everything supplied to enable you to create great meals (just bring the food). The bathroom has a full sized shower and toilet along with wash basin. There is hot and cold pressure water throughout Liberty. The bedroom has a cozy double berth with a large opening hatch overhead.
The boat is fully equipped for a memorable stay, all you need to bring is your toothbrush.
Estuary cruises and Bay sailing aboard Liberty are available at an addition cost. Please feel free to inquire at any time.
We also have kayaks available to rent which are a fun way to explore the estuary.

Our trip to Oakland to stay on the Liberty was amazing! From the moment that we arrived to the great recommendations that Shaun provided, it couldn't have been better. We enjoyed a cozy night on board and even borrowed his kayaks to check out a bar/restaurant around the corner - such a cool experience so close to San Francisco!
Thank you, Shaun!
The "Liberty" was a very pleasant experience for us. Shaun made sure we had everything we needed and was very friendly throughout our stay. The yacht has a cozy and homie feeling, definitely worth the experience!
Staying aboard the Liberty was so awesome! It was clean, beautiful, relaxing, and quiet. The bed was very cozy, too! Shaun was wonderful, flexible with our arrival and departure time, and even left us snacks! Would love to stay on one of his boats again in the future!
Shaun made us feel very welcome and is an exceptional communicator. We enjoyed the boat immensely (a great layout, everything you need, and tons of charm). Shaun also was quite knowledgeable about the local area, and gave use several tips/and or places we were able to take advantage of. Overall a great experience and our best night of the trip!
Shaun was an excellent host, making it very easy for us to find the boat and accommodating our early arrival. He met us at the boat and gave us a quick tour, providing answers to any questions we might have had. His local knowledge was perfect for our two-day stay in the Bay area - guiding us to the ferry as a smart alternative to getting to the city. The Liberty itself is very nice, with many custom touches that make it a highly unique stay in an excellent location. Many options to bust out into SF or Oakland are within a few minutes travel time. If we had more time, we truly could've taken advantage of all the opportunities that staying on a sailboat offers.
Shaun is a tremendous host. Very friendly and helpful. The Liberty is as the pictures describe, a unique and special experience.
Shaun was a most excellent host. The boat was exactly what we expected (as described) and the neighborhood was very cool!
Our stay was perfect, we also got to charter a sail for a few hours and it was wonderful. What a unique way to experience the bay cities!
