Year-round cottage on a small quiet lake in Muskoka
New 2013: We have put in a beautiful woodstove for added coziness in the winter and we now have a paddle boat for warmer weather fun.
Our year-round cottage is on a small quiet lake 15 minutes to Huntsville and 30 minutes to Rosseau. This 2 bedroom+den (sleeps 6) furnished cottage on the water's edge is a perfect spot for Winter fun - cross country / Nordic skiing, snow shoeing and skating. We do our best to keep a cleared area on the lake for skating (weather permitting).
We are perfectly located for those who are triathlon training. Swim the 1km long lake with little to no traffic.
We are looking for weekend, weekly, and short-term renters to take advantage of this nature retreat. Our summer months book up very fast, so please connect with us soon.
Our family cottage / property is a non-smoking space and pets are considered on a case by case basis.

Low traffic canoe / kayak lake, large private dock, shallow water entrance, canoe, paddle boat, bbq, fire pit, woodstove, washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, linens provided, clean drinking water from well, satellite tv, cell phone / internet signal, close to Huntsville and Algonquin Park
Special Note: This is a very child friendly cottage. We have a pack n play and high chair available for you if needed. We also have a chalk board and craft table with supplies.
*Additional $50 per night for each adult over a group of six (6)
* We love having dogs but have a$100 additional fee per dog per week.
*$500 Cleaning / Damage Deposit required to secure booking.
As a family, we own the cottages on either side of this cottage. Jen Campion is part owner and property manager. She is available to assist you if you have any on site issues or questions.
Interaction with Guests
One of the owners, Jen will be by during your stay to say hello. We have a property maintenance person come to the cottage once per week.

Thanks again for booking our family cottage for your vacation. We truly hope that your stay is relaxing and peaceful.
The cottage can be a bit tricky to find and we wanted to send you some detailed directions to help you arrive safely and in good time. GPS coordinates have not been very accurate in the past, so we recommend that you don’t use them.
Below are the directions from Toronto:
Take Hwy 400 North
Follow Hwy 400 North to Hwy 11 North towards Orillia
Stay on Hwy 11 North heading towards Huntsville
Take the Muskoka Road 3 – Aspdin Road exit
Take a left turn off the ramp in order to head West on Aspdin Road
Follow Aspdin Road for about 10 minutes (towards Sandhill Nursery)
Make a right turn onto Yearley Road
Our cottage is located 5km down Yearley Road. You will pass Wolf paw Road and a sharp right turn at the 4km mark. You will drive on a straight stretch for 1km. We are located on the left just before the second sharp turn.
The address is 1044 Yearley Road,Huntsville, Ontario
A Maple leaf marks your gate.
The drive should take about 2.5 hours from Toronto.
Keys / Arrival:
The cottage will be unlocked upon your arrival.
2 keys will be located on the kitchen counter.
Jen, the owner and property manager will be by to say hello at some point on your date of arrival.
If you have a puppy fee, please give it to Jen on the date of your arrival.
A few friendly reminders:
Smoking is not permitted in the cottage or on the premises. If you smoke in the house or on the property, we will have to ask you to leave (you will not be refunded any nights missed). We promote a smoke free environment for everyone to enjoy.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. We often have other guests arriving on your departure day, so please respect these times.
A canoe and paddle boat are available for your use. However, you are responsible for bringing and wearing your own life jackets.
Firewood is available to you for one camp fire. If you need more, check in with Jen and she will provide you with some for a small fee or many gas stations and downtown businesses (ie. Walmart) have firewood for purchase.
We have provided you with a full propane tank for the BBQ. If you require more, the tank can be filled at Canadian Tire or Home Depot (at your expense).
Please do not leave any garbage outside because this will attract animals.
If you are doing laundry, please put the cycle on medium load size.
If you are bringing your pet, please remember to scoop the poop!
Jen, the Owner, will be onsite to assist with anything you may need. Feel free to pop over and say hello.
The water is clean to drink and has been tested by the health unit. However, many families have brought their own water as they are not used to drinking water from a well.
Please sort your recycling. This really helps us on the clean up day.
On the day you check out, please make sure that the following is completed:
1. Please take all of your belongings including any left over groceries.
2. Please collect the garbage and bring it to the garbage box at the end of the driveway.
3. Please ensure that dirty dishes are in the dishwasher and that the dishwasher has been turned on.
4. Please put all linens in the laundry bins provide.
5. Please put all towels and dish cloths in the washing machine and run the wash cycle.
Thank you - leaving the cottage in good condition helps us ensure that all of our guests have a clean and comfortable space.
