Year-round cottage on a small quiet lake in Muskoka
New 2013: We have put in a beautiful woodstove for added coziness in the winter and we now have a paddle boat for warmer weather fun.
Our year-round cottage is on a small quiet lake 15 minutes to Huntsville and 30 minutes to Rosseau. This 2 bedroom+den (sleeps 6) furnished cottage on the water's edge is a perfect spot for Winter fun - cross country / Nordic skiing, snow shoeing and skating. Trisha was great to book with and providing info leading up to our stay. The owner, Jen, who lives next door was very friendly and accommodating - a great pleasure to meet.
The cottage itself was nice, and had everything we needed. The area is beautiful with a great dock out on the water. The lake is quiet and picturesque.
Loved the whole experience and would definitely go back.
The Waterhouse was exactly what we needed for the perfect relaxing long weekend. The lake is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for canoeing and swimming. The cottage is spacious, clean & truly everything we wanted. The hosts are amazing & helpful, you will not regret choosing this cottage. We hope to return in the fall, thanks to Trish and Jen for everything :)
The Waterhouse was great! We were in the area (Huntsville is a 15 min drive) for the Ironman 70.3 triathlon. The cottage was clean and it had everything we needed. It was very chilly when we arrived so the wood fireplace came in handy! The lakefront is beautiful and we used the canoe on the quiet lake. If you are looking for a simple Muskoka-cottage experience then this is the perfect place.
This cottage is the real deal. The waterfront is spectacular, with deep forest across from the large, comfortable dock. A small sand beach leads to a gradually inclining lake-entry. There are toys and art materials for kids, and amazing grounds all around, for active games. A perfect Muskoka getaway.
What an amazing cottage on so many levels. I hope we can find the time to stay there again for longer in the next couple years.
Great stay at Trisha's cottage. Everything was clean, well maintained, and exactly as advertised. Had some bad luck with mosquitoes (bring some bug spray), but nothing that prevented my group from having a good time. Would certainly recommend.
The Cottage is situated on a quiet and beautiful lake just outside of Alconquin National Park and makes for a beautiful weekend get away. The location is stunning and the cottage a wonderful retreat. The roaring fire was already lit upon our arrival- which made from a wonderful welcome.

We are a young family looking to share our cottage memories with others. We have been blessed to grow up in Muskoka with the lakes and wildlife in our backyard. Now we want to share our space with others so they too can enjoy the Muskoka area!
