Designer apartment with caring hosts, an outstanding combination. The apartment is straight out of a magazine and Hans was amazingly helpful and thoughtful.
My family and me stayed at Maries and Hans apartment for a long weekend. They are great hosts.
Hans welcomed us and gave us a huge list for tips around the city and the area we where living in. It was exactly as in the photos and I would always book it again.
We had a wonderful family holiday in Copenhagen in April 2015, and staying at Hans & Marie's amazing apartment was a great part of our experience. They have put so much thought & soul into their home, with Eames chairs & even a baby bed designed by a famous Danish designer which our 2 yr old daughter slept in. She loved playing with all of Ingrid's toys, which kept her so busy we could all relax! My partner & I slept on a double mattress in the living room (very comfy), my sister & brother in law slept in the master bedroom, & our daughter in the little kids' room. We appreciated the hosts' thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine for us on arrival. Hans, Marie & their girls were away so sadly we did not get to meet them, but their nephew Emil greeted us & helped carry our suitcase up the stairs! We would not hesitate to recommend the apartment & the hosts to others visiting Copenhagen & would happily stay there again given the chance!
We stayed here over Easter 2015. We loved the apartment and Hans and Marie's family are thoughtful and nice hosts.
The apartment is perfect if you have children (there's a baby's bed, toys, baby's chair etc) or like stylish danish interior design :-)
Location is good, tourist walking distance from the centre plus public transportation very close. Only downturn is the 4th floor without elevator.
We'd like to visit Copenhagen again and no doubt I'll drop a request to Hans again!
This is a lovely flat, full of character, and exactly as described. The location is perfect – in a very nice part of town and easy to get into the centre with bus or bike, or by walking (about 30 minutes) – and Hans and Marie were very friendy, helpful and accommodating (no pun intended). It's a perfect place to stay for a couple or small family.
Beautiful apartment in a great location, near the zoo and a simple bus ride to the centre. Perfect for us and our 5 and 8 year old children.
The list of tips and recommendations left for us was also really useful.
We spent a week in Copenhague with our one-year-old daughter and could not have wished for a better place to stay. Hans and Marie's appartment is situated on a quiet street in Fredericksberg, great neighborhood for families but also for people who like to discover a city by walking around. The appartment is lovely, decorated with taste (the special art touch of Hans and Marie!), clean and bright. The pictures reflect reality. It has everything one can need when travelling with a toddler (including changing table and toys). Marie was very responsive and gave us many tips about things to see and familyfriendly places to go. Would definitely recommend this appartment and stay there again! Thanks!
About the Host, Hans
We are a little family of four - Hans, Marie, 4-year old Ingrid and baby-Rosa - who loves to tour around in the old towns of Europe. We let the curiosity take us to small streets, backyards, parks, fleamarkets, urban and creative spaces. We like to dwell at restaurants as well as bring food home to cook our selfs.
Hans is a Strategic Planner at an advertising agency and Marie is a curator and art konsultant. Together we have our beautiful daughters Ingrid and Rosa, who we love to bring on our travels around the world. – Art, design, architecture, music, food, wine and vintage hunting has a big place in our life – also when we travel around.
We are very happy about the airbnb-solution renting private homes – especially the personal atmosphere and being able to cook on your own – a bonus when travelling with children. We are very care taking and respectful about the places we visit and appreciate the same when people visit and stay at our apartment.
We like to share nice recommendations about our lovely city with the people who are visiting us! We speak English, German, Scandinavian and a bit of French and Italian.
