Newly renovated fantastic summer house with amazing view over lake Mälaren - 10 min. drive from pittoresque town of Mariefred and 1 h from Stockholm. The house dates back to 1895, but the interior was completely refurbished 2017. Access to private bathing place (shared with another house) and a huge garden. The house has three bedrooms with 8 beds in total. The kitchen is very well equiped. One bathroom, and one separate toilet. - Tennis courts and two golf courses within 10 min. drive.

Mariefred is an idyllic small town with the famous medieval castle Gripsholm. The castle dates back from the Vasa era (16th century) and if you want you can sign up for a guided tour or just stroll along on your own in your own pace.

The well preserved town center features many small shops, restaurants and cafés. Enjoy a walk along waterside with its guest harbour and the steam boat (that can take you on a "cake tour" to Taxinge slott) or travel on a steam _train_ to Taxinge during high season.
