About This Listing
Located at the end of a short gravel lane,
this spacious cabin is just 2.2 miles from the heart of
Nashville- Indiana's quaint artist colony and tourist destination.
Though it is easy to get to, you will feel like you are in the middle of the woods, which surround the house on three sides. You can touch the trees from the lovely decks, which wrap around the house on two levels. A garden, featuring various tropical and local plants, meanders down a rock path to the gazebo, which contains the luxury 6-person hot tub!
The sweet smell of cedar and mix of antique and plush furnishings welcome your first step inside the cabin, and the wooded views from the full wall of glass doors beckon you to kick back and start relaxing.
Spend your day taking in the beauty of the Brown County State Park, and checking out the area wineries, antique and artisan shops, art galleries, and restaurants in Nashville.
Or, stay around the house and cook dinner together in the full kitchen or out on the new gas grill while watching your friend (or your self!) reel in the catch-of-the-day at the 3-acre lake. Bait can be found under most rocks in the garden-borrow our shovel! Canoe and life-jackets available.
In the evening, snuggle-up around the outdoor fire-pit or inside in front of the wood-burning “Brown County Stone” fireplace. If you so desire, turn on one of the flat screen TVs if you don't want to miss your favorite program or the "big game," or opt to pop-in one of our large selections of DVDs.
Finally, enjoy the down comforters and high thread count towels and sheets as you are lulled to sleep by the peaceful rhythms of the woods...
Fireflies and WiFi included FREE OF CHARGE!

The cabin was a great hub for a family reunion. Comfortable and well-appointed, and each couple had a fluffy bed and dedicated bath. The floor plan is a great mix of communal and private spaces.
We didn't know the area but the cabin's location was convenient to Nashville, Brown County State Park, and the amazing architecture of Columbus (tour the Miller House--really!). And our 86-year old mom had a blast zip-lining!
Trish's place in the Nashville woods was awesome! House had everything we needed to enjoy a long weekend; meaning sheets/ towels/ cooking utensils / everything. Place was also spotlessly clean and obviously well taken care of & loved. Could not have had a better time, was a close 30min from IU. Bottom line= place was flat out amazing (even soaked in the hot tub!)
Had good breakfast in the cutesy town of Nashville + excellent local microbrewery; but main attraction was chillin' @ Trish's
My friends and I stayed at Trish's beautiful cabin for 4 days. While Trish herself was not present, her friend was there to help us out with anything we might need. Communication was very clear with both ladies and the place was just as described. It was perfect for our dogs who had ample space to run around. We recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back!
Our family had a great time staying at Trish's cabin! The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The linens and towels were very nice and the beds were cozy with down comforters, The loft area was wonderful as it gave our daughter lots of space all to herself as well. The pool table was a great feature of the cabin that our entire family also enjoyed. Having the cabin pet-friendly also was a big feature for us as my husband was able to bring his dog with us for our stay.
We were surprised at how close the neighbor's house was to the left of the cabin though as it wasn't shown in the pictures. The neighbors were very nice though and it was still a very quiet area; the curtains on the hot tub also helped to add some privacy.
Trish was also great to work with prior to our arrival and very responsive with emails. She also arranged for some firewood to be available for us when we arrived which we appreciated. It was a great stay in Brown County!
We had a great weekend getaway from Indianapolis to Brown County. The weather was perfect for us and so we were outside most of the time with our dogs. It wasn't as secluded as we'd like, but still had our privacy. The place was comfortable and we enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The welcome book had a lot of local activities and we went horseback riding. Wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't in the book. Will definitely be back!
