Cool, very spacious and super relaxed retro style cottage. Filled with travel treasures mixed with funky and functional retro stuff. A short drive to all the fabulous beaches, villages and national parks of Jervis Bay. The cottage is set amid towering gums and surrounded by a tropical, edible garden, with an emphasis on permaculture principles, including worm farms and frog ponds. Recycled and re-purposed items have been utilised to create garden art and to make a Byron-meets-Bali feel.

Location

Old Erowal Bay, New South Wales, Australia

Old Erowal Bay is situated on the thin neck of land that separates Jervis Bay from the big salt water lake known as St Georges Basin. This location creates a wonderful micro-climate which has made it possible to have an amazing tropical garden at the cottage. It's also a very central location for the bay area, with easy access to Huskisson, Hyams Beach and the world famous Booderee National Park and all sparkling white sandy beaches of the area.
There are two golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, bowls, indoor heated pool and gym and a number of quality establish local restaurants, a cute little movie theatre and top notch pub.

I'm friendly and love animals and the outdoors. My family have been living here for 20 years so I know all the exciting places and things to do around the Jervis Bay area. I'm a former journalist turned English teacher and recently finished my Masters in TESOL. As a host I'm very welcoming and more than happy to offer help or advice with any activities, bushwalks or adventures you may be planning for your stay. My life as a journalist and teacher has been about communicating, so I'm a good listener. I enjoy gardening and I encourage my guests to pick and use the fruit and veggies from the garden. I realize some guests like a chat but others like more privacy, and I'm in tune with that.
