Brisbane Water is a two minute stroll from our house. Here you can swim, kayak, fish, waterski, or just stroll along the peaceful waterfront. We have a small rowboat if you'd like to get out onto the water.
We have a two-storey house. Our living area is upstairs, and the guest suite is downstairs.
We have two guest rooms available. One has twin king single beds and the second room has a queen bed. The private guest bathroom has been recently renovated. Both bedrooms have split-system air conditioners so you'll be comfortable all year round. The room with the queen bed leads into a guest sitting area, with a pull-out sofa, armchair, table and chairs. We have recently installed a modern kitchenette, with a sink, microwave, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and a good selection of crockery, cutlery etc, so you can self-cater if you wish. There are always complimentary bottles of water in the fridge for you, and fresh milk for your cups of tea or coffee.
There's a 4 burner BBQ downstairs if you want to barbecue for yourself, or we have a 6 burner BBQ on the upstairs deck which you're welcome to use any time.
There's also an iron and ironing board.
We have a portable cot if needed.
Don't worry about bringing toiletries with you - we have a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sunblock etc for you.
We also know from experience that pillow height can be a big problem in a different bed, so we have a range of different pillows so you can find the best one for a good night's sleep.
You're very welcome to use the kitchen upstairs if you like to cook for yourself.
We have free WiFi internet connection.
We can offer you a range of options for breakfast, depending on what you like. You can have eggs, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea or coffee. If possible, let us know what you'd like before you come so we can get in fresh ingredients. If the weather is fine, we recommend eating breakfast on the deck, overlooking Brisbane Water, and watching the birds that often come to visit.
Where we live:
Our house is in a quiet suburban street, just a stones-throw from the waterfront of Brisbane Water. We have a small rowing boat if you'd like to get out onto the water. There are fish out there, if you have the patience. We have lines and bait if you'd like to give it a go.
Things to see and do:
It's just a ten minute drive to beautiful beaches like Terrigal and Avoca. There are gorgeous National Parks surrounding the Central Coast. You can go fishing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving - why not go and see the Pelican Feeding at The Entrance, or visit the Australian Reptile Park where you can feed the kangaroos and see lots of other interesting native animals.
Interaction with Guests
We can offer you as much or as little privacy as you like. The guest area is completely self-contained, but of course we'd love you to come and join us for a chat or to share a bottle of wine with us.
Saratoga is a peaceful suburb, between Gosford and Avoca. The things we love most about Saratoga are the lovely water views and the relaxing atmosphere.
Saratoga has a very convenient shopping centre, which is a ten minute walk from our house. It has a chemist, bottle shop, IGA supermarket, two cafes, fruit shop, butcher, bakery and newsagent.
If you're coming from the airport, catch the train to Gosford and then we can pick you up from the station, or you can catch a bus from Gosford Station to Saratoga.
If you like to take the scenic route, take the train from Sydney to Woy Woy, then take the ferry from Woy Woy to Saratoga.
Other Things to Note
Our nightly rate of $89 includes both rooms, so if you prefer to spread out into two separate rooms there is no extra charge. We don't charge per person or per room - the $89 covers two people, including breakfast.
If you are staying on your own, ask us for a discounted rate and we'll send you a special offer through the airbnb reservations page.
No smoking in the house.
If you're not going to be home, please turn off the air conditioners and lights before you go out, to conserve power.
Felt very welcome and accommodated for! The place is stunning, and a beautiful location too. Would stay again anytime.
Absolutely lovely spot. We stayed here with our two little boys and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the hospitality was second to none. Beautiful area to walk and explore, lovely beaches near by. The accommodation was absolutely attention to detail, completely comfortable and welcoming. We would definitely recommend.
We stayed in Saratoga Serenity during the Easter break and we just loved it. Out Host Robyn was exceptionally sincere making sure that we get the best service. The property was spotless and extremely nice, clean, and tidy. The beds were extremely comfortable, so the kids had very good sleep, and so did us. The surrounding area was nice and quite and we woke up with the whistles of birds. It was a pleasure to have breakfast on the upper floor with Robyn, and we really appreciate for her hospitality and generosity. We would definitely recommend people this particular place to have some good time.
We had such a wonderful 2 night stay with Robyn in Saratoga and will highly recommend Saratoga Serenity. To arrive to a beautiful home with our own flat downstairs, which was delightfully decorated, along with goodies in the fridge and a bathroom including goods which meant I could have left my toiletry bag at home. Robyn has thought of everything when preparing for guests. Our 2 year old son had a great time too, and enjoyed the garden out back and the short stroll to the river. What beautiful views and a great location Saratoga is. Thank you Robyn for your great hospitality, lovely breakfast, Easter Eggs, comfortable beds and great conversation. We hope to be back in the future.
Beautiful spot right by the water. The room was lovely, lots of little extras made this short visit that much more enjoyable. Robyn was a delightful host and made us a scrumptious breakfast too. Highly recommend staying here, perfect little retreat!
Robyn's house is very clean and comfortable! There is a small path in front of the house to the lake which is joint to the sea. It is a quiet community and the view around the neiborhood and along the lake bank is very peaceful! Lots of parrots living nearby and some even fly to visit Robyn's house for sunflower seeds! And we also saw a baby Ray in the lake , which is a big surprise!
Anyway, here is very worthy to stay!
We stayed for a night last week and were very impressed with the very clean and comfortable spacious apartment and the hospitality from Robyn and David.
We enjoyed the breakfast and the kids appreciated the treats left in the kitchen. It was also great to be able to enjoy an espresso without leaving the place too.
Saratoga is a really nice hidden part of the Central Coast that is very peaceful. The walk down to the jetty was enjoyed by the whole family.
Would happily recommend to others visiting the Central Coast and know that we will return.
Hi, my name is Robyn. I'm a retired teacher, now enjoying retired life with my husband David. We have two children and two grandchildren. We also have two dogs and one cat.
A few years ago we decided to work in Japan for a year - that year turned into four years, and we are now home again and of course we love all things Japanese.
We have travelled around Europe and America as well - our son lives in California so we visit every year.
Our life is fairly quiet - Saratoga is a beautiful place and there are lots of gorgeous beaches and places to walk. We like spending leisurely evenings on our deck, overlooking beautiful Brisbane Water while enjoying a barbecue and a good bottle of red wine.
