We have a two-storey house. Our living area is upstairs, and the guest rooms are downstairs.
We have two guest rooms available. One has twin king single beds and the second room has a brand new double bed. The private guest bathroom has been recently renovated. Both bedrooms have split-system air conditioners so you'll be comfortable all year round. The double bed guest room leads into a guest sitting area, with a pull-out sofa, armchair, table and chairs with tea and coffee making facilities. There is a small fridge with complimentary bottles of water.
There's also an iron and ironing board.
Don't worry about bringing toiletries with you - we have a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toothbrushes, sunblock etc for you.
We also know from experience that pillow height can be a big problem in a different bed, so we have a range of different pillows so you can find the best one for a good night's sleep.
You're very welcome to use the kitchen if you like to cook for yourself. We have a 4 burner BBQ on the deck which we use a lot, and you're very welcome to use that as well.
We have free WiFi internet connection, and we love meeting new people.
We can offer you a range of options for breakfast, depending on what you like. You can have eggs, cereal, toast, fruit, yogurt, juice, tea or coffee. If possible, let us know what you'd like before you come so we can get in fresh ingredients. If the weather is fine, we recommend eating breakfast on the deck, overlooking Brisbane Water, and watching the birds that often come to visit.
Where we live:
Our house is in a quiet suburban street, just a stones-throw from the waterfront of Brisbane Water. We have a small rowing boat if you'd like to get out onto the water. There are fish out there, if you have the patience. We have lines and bait if you'd like to give it a go.
Things to see and do:
It's just a ten minute drive to beautiful beaches like Terrigal and Avoca. There are gorgeous National Parks surrounding the Central Coast. You can go fishing, swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving - why not go and see the Pelican Feeding at The Entrance, or visit the Australian Reptile Park where you can feed the kangaroos and see lots of other interesting native animals.
We can offer you as much or as little privacy as you like. The guest area is completely self-contained, but of course we'd love you to come and join us for a chat or to share a bottle of wine with us.
Saratoga is a peaceful suburb, between Gosford and Avoca. The things we love most about Saratoga are the lovely water views and the relaxing atmosphere.
Saratoga has a very convenient shopping centre, which is a ten minute walk from our house. It has a chemist, bottle shop, IGA supermarket, two cafes, fruit shop, butcher, bakery and newsagent.
If you're coming from the airport, catch the train to Gosford and then we can pick you up from the station, or you can catch a bus from Gosford Station to Saratoga.
If you like to take the scenic route, take the train from Sydney to Woy Woy, then take the ferry from Woy Woy to Saratoga.
Robyn and David were fantastic hosts, great to have a chat over dinner and a glass of wine. They were wonderful with our two small children. The accommodation was spacious and had everything you could want for. Highly recommend a stay.
What can I say that hasn't been reviewed with so much praise by all previous guests. We went to stay with Robyn and David as guests, we left as friends. We were treated like honoured family. Everything was A+++ grade. We really enjoyed our time with them in their lovely home.
I really enjoyed my stay with Robyn and David. Although I didnt get to see much of them or the area as I only stopped over for one night, they were very hospitable. Their home is lovely and my room was spacious and decked out with everything I needed. I'd happily stay again.
We loved staying with Robyn and David, they were so hospitable and helpful and their house is beautiful and spotless, with anything you can need, better than staying in a hotel. They lent us their small boat and fishing lines so we could fishing on the Brisbane Waters just outside their house. We also had fun jumping on their big trampoline! We hope to be back soon. Thank you for hosting us!
Our hosts Robyn and David were fantastic. We enjoyed staying at their lovely house and delicious breakfast. We can only highly recommend a visit.
I've had a wonderful stay with the most friendly, caring and welcoming hosts. The house is immaculate (feeling like a 5star hotel), location is great- very peaceful and quiet, with lots of fun things to do, and Robin and David are a great company to have a glass of wine with and an interesting conversation .Looking forward to seeing you again!
Robyn and David were lovely hosts, really friendly and accommodating. The dogs: Suki and Scarlett are adorable, they both love pats and belly rubs by the way.
The location is really close to the water with a nice walk along the bay. Plenty of wildlife too. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and well presented.
We would both highly recommend staying with Robyn and David at their lovely home!
Robyn and David were fantastic hosts, very accommodating and helpful.
The rooms were large and clean and the bathroom wonderful.
They had two adorable and well behaved dogs that we got to have a cuddle with when we arrived.
Breakfast on the balcony in the morning was a delight, with eggs cooked to order and visits from parakeets and a sulfur crested cockatoo.
We had a lovely stay and would go back if we were back in the area again
Robyn and David have a beautiful house in a very relaxing setting. They were extremely hospitable and the free toothbrush and toiletries made all the difference. The beds were comfy, soft linen and a private bathroom, what more could one want? I will definately be back.
Very nice and cosy guest area with complementary tea. Our hosts were absolutely adorable and I would highly recommend a visit there as the little walk to the jetty is an absolute treat.
