We have a 1 queen bed apartment with a full kitchen and private bath in the back of our building very close to downtown Ballard, only 3 blocks from Swedish Hospital. There is an exterior space outside the apartment shared with our members.
Check out our detailed description.

The space
The building is owned and managed by the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Ballard-Alki Lodge #170. Originally built in 1903, It has been a fixture of the Ballard community from the time its doors first opened. We are currently closed to events in our halls during the pandemic, though certain members are visiting to make sure the building is secure and clean.

The sleeping area features one queen sized bed with cotton linens and hypoallergenic bedding. There is a large closet for hanging clothes or storing luggage. Shelves offer longer term organization. We also have a small library collection, reading nook, board games, puzzles and a small writing desk.

The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator, stove and oven, and is equipped with standard utensils and cookware for meal preparation.
The covered foyer top counter with seating for three, high ceilings and delightful ambient light making this a wonderful space for late night socializing and entertaining.

Have a relaxing soak or shower in the claw foot bathtub with detachable shower head. Essentials provided- soap, towels, and toothpaste. We also have a hairdryer and iron in the unit.

If you need fresh linens or towels replaced during your stay, please let us know.

Your apartment is located on the backside of the building. The entrance to your space is through a locked gate that opens to an enclosed, semi-private 150 sq. ft outdoor foyer. The bed is queen size.

You may encounter an occasional friendly Odd Fellow or storefront employee passing through to access other areas of the building, as we will all share the foyer. However, when the apartment is rented, we keep our comings and goings to a minimum for your privacy.

Since we do not live in the building, Odd Fellow companionship can be available for local tours and information with advanced notice. Our lodge hosts community potlucks on 2nd + 4th Thursday evenings which you are welcome to join.

Ballard is one of Seattle's historic districts with strong Scandinavian roots. It maintains a thriving fishing industry, and a new brewing district. Plan to visit the Chittenden Locks, which floats boats up and down between the fresh water of Salmon Bay and the salt water of Shilshole Bay.
Multiple festivals, parades, and events occur throughout the year. Sometimes they are hosted here! We are surrounded by locally owned businesses including fun bars, fantastic restaurants, a movie theatre, and famous music venues to ensure there is always something to do (and easy to get to -- the neighborhood has a walk score of 97!) On Sundays, historic Ballard Avenue hosts a world class organic farmers and craft artisan market (one of the top 25 in the US). Don’t forget the many salons, clothing boutiques and art galleries. There are also three excellent grocery and drug stores, a wonderful library, and family park just blocks away. We have it all! Very convenient location!

There is excellent local public transit a block away. There is free and paid street parking nearby, and a paid garage at Swedish Hospital a couple of blocks away.

By car: Downtown Seattle is an easy 10-15 minute drive away.
Street parking is available, though read the signs regarding time limits.

By bus: There are two major bus stops within a few blocks for an easy 30-40 minute ride to reach Downtown or University District.

Many people also use ride share or taxi services, which are easy to use & great for a night on the town.
Light rail service available to/from downtown and airport

For same-day bookings, reservations must be made before 6pm.

There is no TV provided.

Not ADA compliant, there are stairs into the space.
