About this listing
Our cozy brick home on a large corner lot in the delightful town of Maumelle will be a wonderful place to rest and rewind from your long drive! There are several restaurants here or across the rver in Little Rock. Many attractions there also!
Our guest bedroom is in our home built in 1989 in Diamond Pointe subdivision of Maumelle,Arkansas, just across the AR river from state capital,Little Rock. Our house isn't huge but "homey", one we bought as our retirement home in 2005. Since I am a Master Gardener,I have worked continuously on the yard and garden but it is a work in progress!
The guest bedroom for 2 guests has a beautiful queensized cherry high back bed with comfy new mattress, antique rocker, carpeted, with double windows on the front of the house, looking out on a very quiet street. Adjoining bath has tub/shower combination. We do have a small house dog that is our "Kid". We are a retired Teacher and Methodist preacher. who enjoy getting to know new people while making a hot, home-cooked breakfast for them.
There are some fast-food restaurants nearby in Maumelle. Most restaurants and attractions , like the Clinton Library and the River Market, are about twenty minutes away over the Arkansas River in Little Rock. Parking is available in our driveway which enters off Coral Cove. This is a very quiet and safe area.
Since we have a master suite with a sunroom / tv area, we close the door early and guests can have the rest of the house if they wish!
Interaction with Guests
If guests get here early and wish to have a cool drink and a little conversation, we are enthusiastic! However, if they wish to go out or to retreat to their room, that is great too! The guests have the choice.
We have a very quiet safe neighborhood! Very seldom will you hear any noise or traffic. Since we live about 2 miles off the main boulevard, we are rather secluded here and we like it that way! No crime has occurred in our area!
Parking is safe in our driveway anytime day or night. As we are far from public transportation, a car is necessary. However, cabs are available.
Other Things to Note
Air conditioning is necessary here in warmer months and we use it constantly. Please keep windows closed.
We love to have you visit but please go out and tour the area, don't expect to hang around all day ! After breakfast we have responsibilities that need tending. We appreciate your cooperation and hope you enjoy your stay in Arkansas!
From Dec 01, 2015 - Feb 29, 2016 the minimum stay is 1 night.
