This relaxing two bedroom apartment located right outside Manhattan promises to be a true New York City experience. With lots of natural light, cool breezes in summer, heat in the winter, and exposed brick you will feel incredibly comfortable here.
We are two young photographers renting out our second bedroom. You will be greeted by two lovable cats and beautiful views of Manhattan & Brooklyn. We are avid collectors of anything vintage, so you will find unique knick-knacks scattered about the apartment but we definitely retain a very homey and welcoming atmosphere. A smaller but very accommodating modern appliance kitchen. Full modern and clean bathroom (clean towels, toilet paper, and toiletries are provided). Though our apartment is newly renovated, we live a very "traditional" New York City life and we do not have AC, sorry! But in the Summer we will provide a fan and in the winter there is a built in heater and plenty of fresh blankets! We have a dining space and two couches with a projector where you are more than welcome to hangout and take a load off, because trust us, New York will wear you out!
You will have access to everything in the apartment and building with your own set of keys and door codes. You're welcome to all of the amenities in our apartment, just please don't eat all of our food! You will also have access to laundry, in-house iMac computer with free WiFi, a small gym, and a rooftop patio with a pretty awesome view and awesome neighbors to socialize with.
To wash - $1.75 for 39 minutes
To dry - $1.50 for 54 minutes
*We can provide laundry detergent, if needed.
Please make yourselves at home! We're very relaxed people here. No need to be shy :)
Interaction with Guests
We are willing to interact as much or even as little as you would like. We are very laid back and love having guests stay with us. If you ever need any suggestions of where to go, what to see, where to shop, eat, drink, etc. then we've got you.
We are located on the skirt of Bed-Stuy, surrounded by Bushwick and Williamsburg. Bed-Stuy is a very growing neighborhood but yet still retains tons of culture. It is truly a Brooklyn experience. Just a couple short blocks away are lots of cafes, bars, and restaurants popping up in the neighborhood. Friendly neighbors all around.
We are located 4 short blocks from the Myrtle-Willoughby off of the G train. Its a very quick 20min ride to Manhattan.
Other Things to Note
As mentioned before, we have two cats. They're chill and interesting cats but if you have allergies - we apologize. They do live here, after all.
The house rules are just as laid back as we are. Please remember that we are your hosts, not your maids, and all we ask is that you clean up after yourself and respect our home.
The room was really cute and nice and our hosts as well !! I recommand this adress for anyone who would like to visit New York
Jenny and Drew welcomed us with a super-cute note on our beds. We felt at home immediately and could use everyhing in the kitchen/ living room. They even provide a Computer to use. The room is small, but it is decorated beautifully, with lightchans creating a cozy atmosphere. Jenny left us a small basket with bath essentials and also some towels. Both of them are nice and totally easy to get along with. They are happy to help with any questions if neccesary. The house is locted in a nice neighborhood with many Little Bodegas and Close to the subway that brings you to Manhattan in 20 minutes. I would definetely stay there again!
Jenny and Drew are very friendly and accommodating hosts. They were easy to stay in contact with throughout our week-long stay in Brooklyn, and provided fresh towels and toiletries for us. Their apartment is clean and comfortable, and located 5 minutes from the subway. We also really appreciated their recommendations, which helped us to explore the neighborhood a bit. We would definitely stay here again.
I felt really welcome in Jenny and Drew's home. They were very nice to me and they had left me a sweet note on the bed in my room. I felt very 'at home' in their home and the cats are so cute.
They even invited me to the thanksgiving meal with their neighbors upstairs.
They were all in all very very nice to me and their place is exactly like the picture describes it.
Would definitely stay here again!
Jenny & Drew!
Jenny and Drew were so friendly. Everything was just as described on photos and in the ratings. Unfortunately, they are flown on the second day to Florida , so we had the apartement for us . With their neighbor Julia we could have also nice Conversations . The two cats are just too sweet . Brooklyn has something for everyone who want to experience the real New York. Definitely Yes we would come again to their apartement.
Great stay, easy to find and keep in touch with Jenny. The room was small but very lovely. Amazing view from the roof top. Good place and area to live, the cats are really cute. Absolutely nice and great host, help us in each situation. We would like to recommend this place and their hosts.
Our names are Jenny and Drew. We own two sassy cats. We love Italian food. We're photographers living in Brooklyn, originally from small towns in the middle of Florida, forever dreaming of the west coast. We're 22 and 23 years of age and addicted to adventure.
