If you wish to spent part of the year in South Italy, in a beautiful and warm city like Naples, experiencing all its amazing and unique archaeological and cultural sites I RENT a charming and unique one bedroom flat in the historical center of Naples (Italy), 4th floor with a beautiful terrace and a real garden full of flowers. The apartment has one big living room, one bedroom with an amazing confortable king size foam bed and a cosy confortable bathroom. It is furnished with all comforts: very well equipped kitchen, speed broadband, air conditioners. Ideal for a couple or a single.
The apt is in the heart of Naples and very well connected: it has two metro lines, a train called CUMANA to reach Campi Flegrei and a funicular to reach San Martino Castle in less then 5 minutes!
There is close by (less than 5 minutes walk) the well known daily fish and vegetable market PIGNASECCA in the heart of Spaccanapoli and as many bakeries and Neapolitan delicatessen you wish to meet while you are strolling around!
A unique first experience if you want to know the real NAPLES!
Small, but very individual appartment in an authentic neighbourhood in the city centre; everything is easily reachable on foot. The pro's: it is VERY quiet and has a roof-top-garden of its own (!) with lovely views; the big con: is is VERY wet, at least when we stayed there (january) – the water came literally runnning down the walls and heating didn't really help; this may not be a problem in the summer months, though, when you can open the windows. Mary always reacted promptly and was very helpful (as were her neighbours) when we had some problems with the electricity in the house (watch out not to use too many electronic devices at the same time!).
Mary and her neighbors are really adorable people ! The apartment is sympatic and the small garden is cool ! The district of Montesanto is ideally located between the historical center and the Spanish district ! All Napolitan life at 2 minutes of the apartment ; market, mercado, caffé, métro... perfect !
A regret in my eyes : the apartment is very VERY wet (and cleanliness is not always ok)...
These holidays were nevertheless very sympatic Thank you Mary
We had a great stay at Mary's. The flat is ideally situated in the centre of the city, and all main sights (and pizza restaurants!) Are within easy walking distance. The flat itself is bright and airy - just watch out for those Naples mozzies though - they're vicious! :) We really enjoyed ourselves and I would definitely recommend this flat!
Of our three week trip to Italy, the highlight (by far) was our time in Napoli - and a large part of that was this charming apartment. Tuscany, Venice, Rome - they were beautiful and had their charms, but the difference in Napoli was the people, and with Mary (who couldn't have been more wonderful, with her help and advice - even making us restaurant reservations!) and her apartment with the pretty terrace, you felt like you were part of the neighbourhood. Buying delicious cannoli from the nearby bakery and hanging out at the street corner bar listening to the local banter from the balconies all around you was fantastic, even if you didn't understand very much. We even got invited in by one family for caffe and sweets! With the warm weather we appreciated both the washing machine, which kept our clothes clean, and the large refrigerator, which kept our drinks cold. I miss Napoli already...
Lovely flat in an interesting old building. Very well located for all the sites. Lovely garden/terrace. Very vibrant neighbourhood.
Mary's apartment was great. We stayed in Naples for 3 days and had easy access to everything in the city. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommended!
Lovely place with a romantic view on the street, bathed in sunshine, well furnished (little kitchen, air conditioning)
The neighborhood is popular but nice, with plenty of groceries and little supermarket to buy things if you prefer to dine at the apartment.
It is well located to go to the train station (metro line 2 but the metro is very slow and not frequent), Mergelina or to walk to the old town. And the funicular of Montesanto is just at 100m, so that it is very easy to climb to Vomero which is a very lovely district, with beautiful points of view.
Mary was a great help and suggested us to visit the beautiful small island of Procida.
The four floors aren't that difficult to climb (but it's more convenient to carry a backpack rather than a suitcase...) and guaranty you to have a nice view.
The apartment was great; if you really want to fill Naples as a local, you should take this flat. It has everything you need. To be more specific, we went there with my 7 month’s pregnant wife, and we had a great time, as we were at home, so you should take this as a reference!!! We went at summer and even if outside was 40 degrees, the flat was always a place to hide in rush hours. It was easy to have the key with the neighbors, easy to get there by train (we tried taxi but they wanted to charge us 20€ for a 7 minute “trip”).
Mary is an attentive host. She responded to our emails quickly before our arrival and called us at the apartment once we arrived. The apartment is fantastic and an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle that is Naples. Having the garden to look out at each day was wonderful. Is very convienently located and very comfortable. When we go back to Naples, we want to stay at Mary's.
