This place was awesome. Apple is the best host we've ever had with air bnb. Anything we needed, from questions to booking drivers, and she was there to help and have a speedy response. The house is clean, spacious and in a good location from the city square (just outside). We had a great vacation in Chiang Mai and that has a lot to do with Apple. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to holiday in Chiang Mai, you won't be disappointed.

Welcome to The Amazing cultural capital of Thailand Chiang Mai!!!. Here are the reasons why people Fall in LOVE with us and our Home :)

=== What you can expect when you stay with us. ===
This is what it looks like when you stay with us :).
If you have ever been to an expensive resort, you might have experienced this type of service.
The only difference is our price is ONLY just a fraction of what you would pay at such a place! Also we are MUCH friendlier :)

We will guide you to the house, you or your driver, can just call us, on the dedicated phone number that we provide you.
We can arrange a private VIP transfer with the most reliable private company in Chiang Mai for you. At a very reasonable rate where you will be picked up from the arrivals lounge at the airport (Train station or bus station) by an experienced and safe driver bearing a name board, who will bring you directly to our house.

Then we meet you at the house for checking in,
provide your welcome drinks, special seasonal mountain Tea, freshly made special pastries (depending on seasonal availability).
Maps of the area, guidebooks.
We will ask you about your general and special interests and we advise on the best places to visit (for example if you like food then we will tell you the best hidden secrets and the gems that you would not have found through guide books or the Internet).

Also we provide Free
Special mountain Tea (bought directly from the grower who usually reserve these ONLY for export!),
Coffee,
Filtered water,
Sugar, Coffee mate, Salt, Pepper, basically every thing that we could think of and that you would need including, high quality shampoo, body wash, conditioner, tissues, towels, soap high thread count linen)
Then we show you the house. All in all we will spend as long or as short as you like with you so that you are well oriented and happy.

We have recommendations of what to do/see New Year's afternoon and evening, or during any other time.

There special events for New Year's eve. We are also able to recommend fun and interesting things to see and do in Chiang Mai that the typical tourist would likely miss because they are not in the guide books but would also give us an authentic understanding of the culture and the city.

SONGKRAN IN CHIANG MAI
Introduced to Thailand from the north by Burmese invaders and wandering hill tribes, is Chiang Mai’s biggest and brightest celebration. The streets become a virtual jacuzzi as thousands of litres of water are squirted and poured over all and sundry to celebrate the traditional Northern Thai New Year. The celebrations extend to all the city temples particularly Temple Wat Phra Singh, which is the destination for a huge procession. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet and put your phone and camera in a waterproof bag, buy a water pistol and join in the fun!

------ Reviews---------
This is what our other guests had to say about our comprehensive introduction to the area and the maps and the comprehensive guide books that we provide.

Great house, great hosts, great location and an amazing city. The house is located in a quiet cul-de-sac just outside the North Gate of the city. If you don't fancy the pleasant walk into the main areas then tuk tuks and red taxi's are readily available. 7/11's are close at hand as well as a very reasonable and friendly launderette. If you need a supermarket that offers a lot more in the way of fresh produce and 'Western' brands then head to Rimping in the Maya shopping centre ... 30 minute walk or 10 minutes in a tuk tuk. Good quality street food is available by the North Gate (3 minutes walk), in abundance, from about 17:00 and is popular with the locals. The North Gate Jazz café became something of a 'local'. Great music, reasonable prices and always a good crowd. Get there before 9pm if you want a good seat. Other places frequented on a regular basis were the Writers Club (15 minute walk), Johns Place (20 minute walk) and for a special night out, Le Teak (25 minute walk). I stayed a month and had no issues with the house. I was pleasantly surprised how cheap this was considering the amount of time I actually spent in the house. All the rooms are very large and the house benefits from both a balcony and a patio area ... great places to start the day with a coffee or two! Occasionally I was honoured by the appearance of the friendly gecko whom I nicknamed Eddie Lizard. The hosts, Apple and Jack, are such lovely people and Jack in particular provided useful, informative and interesting facts and advice not just about Chiang Mai but pretty much everywhere!!! . Response time to any queries was excellent. I have fallen in love with this city and when I come back, I will be sure to stay here again. Thanks Apple and Jack for making me feel very welcome.
--Robert Begg From the UK (stayed for 1 Month!)

“Hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming.. They spoke with the taxi driver on getting to the location from the airport and offered great suggestions for things to do, etc... very, very nice people. It is a big space, very roomy. Great A/C”
--Alex (USA)

“It was probably our best airbnb experince. Apple was a great host! Very prompt to answer messages. She helped guide our taxi driver to the residence (which would have been very difficult without her!). The place is HUGE and could easily host a lot of people. The place was clean and as described. We really loved this place. Great location in the old city near the Northgate! Tucked away and private but close to the action. We will definitely come back here the next time we are in Chiang Mai”
--Kris (USA)

Apple the host is incredibly helpful and gives instructions and hints on how to get around the city. She was a wonderful host, and the house was very clean, spacious, and felt safe. I would definitely recommend this location to any of my friends.
--Julia (USA)

Pacharaporn's house is very spacious and comfortable. Both her and Jack were extremely helpful with directions to their place and offering their own extensive knowledge of the sights and activities for visitors to Chiang Mai. The two bedrooms are massive and the location is perfect for an authentic Thai experience. Both Kirti and myself enjoyed our stay very much at this house and we wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts are very considerate and responsive to the personal requirements of their guests.
--Anthony (Australia)

The house was very big and right next to the moat. It was very easy to get around the city from this great location! Apple and her partner were there to meet me as soon as I got to the house and were very friendly. Would book again for sure!
--Michael(USA)

Apple was a very considerate host and she and her partner made us feel very welcome from the start. The house is very roomy and everything works well - fast Internet, air conditioning, hot water, and a bath! And the area is very convenient but amazingly quiet. We had a great stay and overall Apple's place is excellent value. We hope to come back again!
--Carmen(Australia, stayed for 1 Month!)

===== Chiang Mai, Thailand =====
Chiang Mai is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, founded in 1296 CE (AD) as the capital of the kingdom of Lan Na. It is the largest city in the northern province of Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is known for the beautiful mountains that surround it, the Ping River that flows through it, and the 300 Buddhist temples that can be found within its borders.

In the center of Chiang Mai is the historic walled city, which was built by Pha Yu. The defensive wall and moat surround the city and protected it from the Taungoo Dynasty and the Mongol Empire. In the late 1700s Chiang Mai started a slow growth to becoming a cultural, trade, and economic center in Northern Thailand. It is considered the second most important city in the country, behind the capital of Bangkok.

Of the 300 Buddhist temples in the city, the most famous is Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. It stands on the Doi Suthep hill in the northwestern part of the city. It was built in approximately 1383. The Wat Chiang Man, built in the 13th century, is the oldest temple in Chiang Mai. This temple house two important Buddha figures – a marble Phra Sila and the crystal Phra Satang Man.

Chiang Mai also holds numerous Thai festivals, including Loi Krathong, which is typically held in November. It features floating banana-leaf structures that are adorned with flowers and candles, which are launched into the city’s waterways to worship the goddess of water.

The city is also home to a number of cultural museums, including the Chiang Mai City Arts and Cultural Center, the Chiang Mai National Museum, which highlights the history of the Lan Na Kingdom and the Tribal Museum showcasing the local mountain tribes.

Finally, Chiang Mai is a place to get close to nature in nearby national parks. Among them is the Doi Inthanon National Park, which is home to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.

Hi, I'm Pacharaporn, but I prefer to be called by my nickname, Apple. I was born in Bangkok, I fell in love with Chiang Mai a long time ago, so I live here in Chiang Mai, which reminds me of Paris!. I started letting my house to satisfy a need in the travel and digital nomad market, since no one was looking after the travellers who wanted to rent a house and live like a local for a short period of time in Chiang Mai, without having to sign a very long term contract (of 6 months or more), . this is especially true with online workers (digital nomads) because Chiang Mai is the digital hub of south east asia. . Compared to the choice of staying at a Hostel or a Hotel room We offer the best of both worlds with a fully customised local experience with full access to Free unlimited Internet.. my aim is to help you enjoy and integrate with the local way of life even on your short stay. SO I try to convey my local knowledge in an express form so that you get the full local experience. Especially the ones that all the guide books have missed. For example there is a restaurant just 2 minutes walk from my home where they do meals which originated from persia, but now are integrated in to the Chiang Mai local cuisine, but it's still a secret to all guide books! But not to local celebrities and the ones in the know. What's even more amazing is the cost, less than a US dollar!!!. the best local restaurants, the world famous vegetarian restaurants., the best local markets to source fresh fruit and to explore the wide variety of exotic local fruit and vegetables. Amazingly not many tourists have been to these! even though they are open 24 hours!. I also love Yoga, so I have tried different forms, and I have first hand knowledge of which schools are the best and which ones should be avoided. Again the surprising fact is the heavily marketed ones are not the best schools!. I have been trained as a traditional massage practitioner at the foremost school of massage in bangkok. This helps me to recommended massage course and the best massage places to have a massage.. One of my favourite things in Chiang Mai is discovering how to travel for free, I have discovered ways to explore large parts of the city without having to pay a penny and in the comfort of a taxi! All For free. How to avoid tourist traps, and see places not many tourists have been to. my house provides you STABLE, HIGH-SPEED LAN and WiFi Internet at 10 Mbps , TV, house is fully air conditioned, all the rooms and the sitting room as well. working desk/ breakfast table, large lounge area, Western style toilets, Western style kitchen with microwave, gas cooker with 2 hobs, coffee maker, among other basics all travellers would ever need.. my house is is in the City. Close to the famous north gate jazz club of Chiang Mai, and the tourist centre, but is located in a very quite area in a Thai neighbourhood. We are bi lingual (actually we speak several other languages as well, like Bahasa Malaysia etc)and have a strong working knowledge of Chiang Mai for example if you want to get in touch with the digital nomad scene in Chiang Mai, we can make introductions to lots of friends who call Chiang Mai, their home and work online. We're always looking forward to meeting people like you, whether it's a short 2 days holiday or a 3 months vacation. Above all I am here to help! Apple

————Songkran The traditional Thai New Year (13 to 17 April 2019) ---- ** Phenomenally popular!!! **-----

is celebrated in Chiang Mai with infectious enthusiasm. Thousands of revellers line up along all sides of the moat to throw water on any passers-by in the city (and each other), while more restrained Songkran rituals are held at Wat Phra Singh.

--------Poy Sang Long (Poy Luang)——

RelIgIous festival usually in April. In this three-day ordination ceremony, novice monks at Temple Wat Pa Pao, Temple Wat Ku Tao and Temple Wat Srisuphan are dressed in make up and garish costumes representing Buddha’s early life as a pampered prince.

--------Inthakhin Festival——

This relIgIous festival is held in mid-May at temple Wat Chedi Luang. This religious festival is held to regain the favor of the city’s guardian deity, who resides in the city pillar, ensuring that the monsoon rains will arrive on time.
